It looks amazing! SMB is my favorite color ever. I also remember reading your SMB M3 thread some time ago

However, I must admit my biggest surprise is the battery. I have been trying to find someone who installed this battery on a BMW for quite some time now. I even contacted Antigravity but they said they don't know how I can get this working on a BMW. I knew it would require some coding but I need to know what exactly needs to be done so that I can code it myself Did you take it to a BMW dealer or third party shop? Also, do you know specifics of the coding they did? I assume the battery works just like the stock one

Initially, I installed the battery myself, and the car was completely dead (which was frightening, so I rushed to put the stock battery back in, and fortunately everything worked fine). So then I took it to Madness Motorworks, just down the street. They said the coding job is pretty straightforward. They got it all done in an hour. And it works just like stock (but just a heck of an awful lot lighter). I'd HIGHLY recommend the Antigravity battery. It has an emergency start reserve feature in case you somehow leave something on or the the battery gets drained.

Beautiful color!

Like others have said, I would have preferred this color to LBB, but I'll make due with my LBB.

You mention it costs less than a wrap, I've seen full car wraps quoted anywhere from $2,000 t0 $10,000. What does this cost?

Wagner Downpipe

Had a couple PMs asking me about the Wagner downpipe, and fit.

Here's a pic of the installation. Fits great, although it took a while to get everything off around the original pipe to get this on. 3.5 hours total. Although if you've done it before, it would be a lot faster.

Are you referring only to the sound when you talk about how much of a difference it made?

Yes, it sounds great! Adds a nice whooosh on acceleration.

It also made the car feel more responsive. Added a few horsepower too. I added it one weekend, and then the downpipe the next week, so I noticed the difference from just the intake to the intake and the downpipe.

Good wrap jobs in the NW seem to run around $4,000. It takes a lot of time to do a wrap right.

This was in the $2500 range.

Price savings was nice, but the most important thing was that this allowed me to get something in San Marino Blue!

Is there a list of approved shops (preferably in US and CAN) that can perform this process?? Any videos of the removal process online??

Thanks Dack! BMW hadn't invented an M2 N55 CS yet, so I decided to do it myself! Maybe if BMW sees this, they'll add San Marino Blue to the color palatte!

Can we get this on the front page?

By the way, all of your EuroDelivery posts were super helpful during my planning process the last time around!

Hey was that expensive to put on that paint product?

What I'm wondering is if this product is able to reproduce the metallic qualities of the OEM paints..? My LBB is new and I love it, but it would be nothing short of amazing to be able to change colors after my PFF/CQuartz is finally at end of life and start over with a whole new color.

Yes, it looks just as rich and metallic as the real deal. Next to the M5 it had the same depth and beauty.

Intrigued by your battery solution. Which mounting tray did you order for your vehicle? There is a specific trickle charger that you have to use for extended storage? Fantastic build!

Thanks! Antigravity has a battery tray which they included that worked just fine. I haven't tried a trickle charger yet. I'll have to look into that. I am just running the car in sport or sport + all of the time so the auto start/stop feature is disabled. That way, it puts less strain on the battery by con. I'm driving it a lot, which should be enough to keep it fully charged.

They have some proprietary chargers on their website that are specific for the lithium battery. I store my beast for the winter so that's an important consideration. I spoke to them and they said this battery works as well, if not better, than the lead-cell so you should have no concerns about start-stop. Thanks for the insight. Again, a fantastic build!

First of all, the car looks AWESOME.

And this is not too bad at all from a price perspective - I have never heard of this method before, is i proprietary to the guys that installed it for you?

This might be the best option to use if you want to change the color in a non-permanent way.
