I went to the BMW website for the Netherlands and couldn't even find the regular M2 listed anymore. Do you know what the base price for the outgoing M2 was excluding VAT?

€61.200 VAT incl versus €64.300 VAT included for the Competition. But it has more options ticked from factory. Price from BE website!

M2C with a 5 % increase over M2 seems to be a trend now. If the Comp is coming with more options then that's good news.

Thanks, but what I'd be most interested in would be what will it cost fully loaded (excl. VAT let's say) vs the current M2, fully loaded, so we can get an idea of the price increase.

I predict the US base price will be $57,500 (Confirmed 5.5 % increase from the M2) for the manual and $60,400 for DCT. Options will push you in the mid 60k range..

Also, a carbon fiber interior option? I guess this a glossy version..

Edit: Nevermind, same as the current M2's carbon fiber interior trim (4MC) standard in the US.

I used the options you gave us which are now standard compared to the M2 on bmw.be and reconfigured a comparable base M2 .

M2: 62,895.80
M2C: 64,300.01

Difference is 1,404.20 or 2.23% which is not bad at all!

I predict that the US version will come pretty loaded from the start with the same price increase, including carbon interior, HK audio etc. They might charge us extra for the M seats though. I guess the ordering is supposed to start on May 15th?

I believe once the US prices are confirmed, ordering will commence.. I am not positive of the official date but it should be announced any day now..

FvM said pricing would be released mid-May, pricing/ordering guides should follow soon after.

BMW Press release for M2c USA site states the M Sport seats are standard...

What are the chances of a discount for removing the sports seats for the US version? I've heard a lot of people suggesting that they aren't as comfortable as the current M2 seats for long durations. I don't have any experience with either seat type though.

Also they are now charging for rear camera and premium speakers? I believe those are both standard in the current model.

Unknown, but doubtful you'll be able to downgrade. We'll know for sure once the pricing/ordering guides are released.

That's for other countries/regions. Those options are standard for USA.

Ok thanks for both answers. Does anyone have feedback on long duration comfort of sport seats vs standard seats (over 1 hour)?

I plan on using the car as a daily driver and will probably not track it.

I'm sure you could trade with someone that has a current M2.

You're not going to get many answers to a question buried deep in this thread. Start a new thread asking about the seats. Those who have or had M3/4's will be able to comment.

Go onto the M3/M4 forum for sport seats reviews. They are the same seats from the non-zcp M3/M4. Not only have I driven over an hour. I've done multi day road trips in M4 seats, they are perfectly comfortable. It is a bonus since they are more supportive during aggressive driving and they look a milliion times better. My opinion, a must have option on the Competition.
