Not offered by oem on f87 yet but no doubt this will change when m2cs comes out, being first m2 with adaptive damping.

Hello All,
I’m looking for feedback from those of you who installed the BMW M Performance Suspension on their M2C. Is it worth the upgrade? Will I notice a big difference as a daily driver? Also, in New England we have some pretty rough roads in some areas. Has anyone experienced the suspension bottoming out because it is lowered over stock? Thank you in advance for your replies. sauce |

I liked the ride more than the OEM suspension, it absorbed bumps better and felt way more planted on track (friend car)

It's pretty much the same thing, biggest advantage of the M Performance is if you get it installed at a dealership you get the a warranty.

Thanks for all the replies. Any issues with bottoming out on bumpy roads? I swapped a suspension on an STI once and regretted it as it would bottom out hitting highway bridge expansion joints. Just don’t want to go through that again. It was great for the track though. Thanks.

If I could do it over again I'd probably get MPE installed at the dealer. It does end up being quite a bit more expensive though, dealer quoted me 1500 for install lol, installation cost was 350 with a wheel alignment at a reputable local shop.

Only issue I saw with the MPE the rear coils you basically have to have on the lowest setting. The front has a lot of adjustability, but the rear you basically have to max it out to the lowest setting. This lowest setting the rear tire heel is not tucking yet either. With KW there is more adjustability in the rear than the MPE I believe |

This isn't the lowest for front or rear. |

Reason why I ask is that people reported noise from the KW's. I can see the MPE's have a rubber isolator boot on the bottom of the front spring and the KW V3's do not have this isolator. In other words the KW spring sits on the adjustment collar directly and with the MPE the spring sits on an isolator boot than the adjustment collar. That's one other thing I noticed different about the two.

I do get a noise on my drivers side front but to be honest I don't even know if it's the KW. I've had like 3 spots look at it and they couldn't see anything wrong with the installation and I've looked at it myself and saw nothing either. It has me thinking it could be a loose trim panel in the car. The noise is only on low speeds over really shitty roads. Does anyone have suggestions because it definitely does bother me. |

I might try getting one of those rubber isolators for mine though. |
