BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 50,000.00

Item Interest
I am contemplating selling my Mineral Gray BMW M2 (6spd, exec, moonroof) with 6.8k Miles. The car comes with black out grill and sidemarkers from the factory. The car has PPF film on the front nose and is ceramic coated. Also the car is lowered on the Dinan coilover suspension. If you are interested let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for your input, DCT is not as desirable for most as the 6 speed. I'm also on the dinan suspension with PPF and ceramic coated with work being performed by Turner Motorsport and Unique Car Care.

I would recommend you see pricing around you. See link above for another forum member's M2 for sale in the same area, condition and specs as you. I believe it's still listed on cargurus. Good luck.

Thanks I saw the post. Not all cars are the same. Different car and this car is not on a Dinan coil over suspension. So perhaps my feeler price is a tad high but that doesn't mean it's a non negotiable price

When it comes to money, some people just get so crowded by their judgement and become unrealistic. The realistic feeler price should probably start at forty something thousand! Mods really doesn't matter in the second hand market and you only get pennies on the dollar for them. SMH...

Especially when m2c can be had (new) for around that same number.

That's true, especially if you do an ED. A 6MT M2C will be within less than 10% of the feeler price assuming ED MSRP.

There are people that don't want a M2C and prefer the original M2. Also there might be people looking to get a car without the wait.

Let's be honest...sellers are tying to get as much $$$ as they can and buyers are trying to save as much $$$ as they can. Realistically, they will meet somewhere in the middle and whomever is less "desperate," will be on the better side of that middle.

You are still about $6k above market. Aftermarket stuff doesn't hold value in secondary markets.

I'd be pretty jaded at BMW if I bought a pre-M2c M2. They are not the same car and the M2's will depreciate fairly aggressively once the M2c's hit the pre-owned market.

This is similar to what happened in 2006 when people bought the N52 330i's that were replaced 6 months later with the 2007 335i's. My buddy bought a brand new 2006 330i for $50k+ and found out 2 months later about a rumored twin turbo BMW coming out. He was offered $27k to trade in his 330i 4 months later for a 335i.

I don't think the M2's will depreciate to that extent, but folks will want a meaningful price difference for the M motor verse non M motor.

I have no dog in this fight, but I don't understand why some of you guys , who are not looking to buy the car; feel the need to post your opinions on a sellers thread. Are you trying to help potential buyers? I browse the classifieds occasionally, and always see this.

IMO, it would be fair to let people who actually want to buy the car, pm the seller and negotiate a price for themselves.

I dont see what the big fuss is about. We all had the chance to buy an F80/82 instead of an F87, its not like the S55 is some special motor that just came out. N55 is an awesome motor and paired with the F87 its an awesome platform. They could throw in an S63 in the F87, don't make the N55 M2 any less of an M car.

I'd also chip in on behalf of my fellow grey 2018 M2 owner that M2C's don't come in gray (AFAIK). Maybe I'm biased, but I'm not looking to sell mine so I'm not directly trying to talk up the market. I strongly preferred that color, not that I'd never have considered an M2 without it, but it's still a great color IMO.

This should be posted in EVERY cars for sale post to remind those people just to mind their own business.

Just a bit of advice, 2 months ago I sold my 2017 M2 with 9k miles more than yours for $44,500 and it had over $6k in upgrades on it. Might want to lower the price to be in a more competitive margin. Currently you're way overpriced for any 2017MY and even for 2018MY. Again, just some advice, not trying to come off as an asshole
