When the European pricing is €95,000 I can't see this being a great option for DE or Club Racing, that seems like a huge entry cost. I'd absolutely love one but I can't see that being worth the cost.

I wonder if we will be able to get that wing and those wheels aftermarket from BMW Motorsport akin to m235i race wing. Any thoughts @IND-Distribution ?

Unfortunately, it's not street-legal.

For one, it has strait-pipes, no cats; which is big no-no in tree-hugging states like California.

Also, as someone else pointed out, the headlights are not homologated for street-usage. I'm not sure if you're aware but the US has some wonky auto-lighting rules. Something like this would never get approved for street usage.

So you'll have to settle for the regular CS instead.

The US price for the M2 CS street version surely has to be announced in January?

That's what I thought was tied to Daytona next month (I was wrong).

No? If it's anything close to a straight euro to $ conversion, talking less for a legit 450 bhp BMW factory racecar than 991 GT3's and RS's.

LOL thanks for circling that. I didn't even notice that in the original picture. I'm an idiot.

For the headlights, it's most likely a weight savings thing
I don't see why, the M240i Racing uses Adaptive LED Headlights without concern for weight reduction.
I believe they are concerned with weight reduction. If you look close enough you can see the headlights aren't for street use. I'm not sure what the exact difference is from the street car, but weight reduction and deletion of the dipping beam may be one.
Don't all M2 have faux inner headlights ?

Yes, there is no "pupil" on the inner angel eyes

The M2 CS Racing in the video below your comment has the adaptive headlights. Not sure if they have full functionality, but they have the hexagonal angel rings.

Maybe they do maybe they don't. I get my M2CS-Racing in July. I'll have a full update for you then. Maybe I'll even weigh all 4 headlights(pre-LCI, LCI, Motorsport, CS-Racing) and share the results.

Similar to the M4 GT4, the M2 CS Racing comes with power sticks. So it depends. The sticks range from 280-360 hp and it's up to the series when and where we get different outputs. However, the evo package comes out in October of 2020. From what I'm hearing now it's primarily a software update/upgrade where we'll get power sticks good for about 450hp.

That's about 200 lbs of fuel. A reason why the tanks are so small on these cars is because, I'm thinking, BMW is very aware on how heavy the M2 is on its own. We only add 75 lbs when filling up (assuming it's 12.5 gallon capacity).
EPA calculates gas mileage based on 20%(could be less) of the size of the tank.

It's in the best interest of the MNFRs to put a smaller tank for overall weight etc.

Also I believe the BMW Motorsport fuel tank allows for fueling from both sides of the car which explains the high cost but I wish someone would bring out an affordable tank that fits the M2 like the Lotus ones for the Exige.
