Excellent write up, so you didn't have built in wifi option in your new M2C? Or did you just want to improve the Wi-fi option reception it already had?

Every car equipped with NBT EVO(this M2C also) has built in WiFi, but some of them doesn't have WiFi Antenna which is in some cases required to use CarPlay. Some cases, as sometimes it work just fine without it.

Thanks

kubax86 Super easy process to get full screen Carplay enabled!

The hardest part was finding the right driver for my USB to Ethernet adapter but once I figured that out - the rest was super straightfoward.

I picked up a new M2 Comp this week and am absolutely enjoying thrashing it around the Welsh countryside to run it in:-)

I was a bit disappointed that CarPlay wasn't full screen. But it looks like there's a solution. I'll PM kubax86 with my details.

Thanks to kubax86 I now have full screen CarPlay working:-) Process was very simple and worked first time.

I used a Belkin/Apple USB-C ethernet adapter with a MacBook Pro and VMWare Fusion. Windows 7 didn't recognise the adapter so I used a fresh Windows 10 install.

Does this work in the Apple / Mac ecosystem with the right adaptor?

I hate Microsoft and don't do Bootcamp.

Another satisfied kubax86 customer here. Flashed me up to nbtevoP with full screen car play. Very responsive and patient.

Note: don't try and use a laptop with anti virus AT ALL.

I experienced a few "bugs" very soon after the full screen mod. Haven't had any problems since in the last 2 months. May have been a coincidence.

???

Could you elaborate? (I have a 2020 M2C on order, so I'm a little hazy).

Does the car come with full screen? Or does it need to be hacked?

Your "the car is too new to get the full screen" comment threw me for a loop.

TIA

R.

Fullscreen does not come from factory.
Also, there is no something like car is too new for fullscreen, just his software was updatef and solution for newest software is a little tricky.
