I kind of like having my fuel range remain split screen on the right so I can always glance at it quickly. With iOS13 though, you can get a lot more information from your phone on the screen at once, so we'll see once it's released.

I use split screen often...I wish it was still an option after coding.

My understanding is if you “hack” full screen CarPlay on m2’s that don’t support it you lose split screen ability.

IF you code for full screen. New iOS 13 carplay keeps split screen and carplay has a sorta split screen option when you use apple maps

Can this be done on cars where ConnectedDrive isn't supported?

Yeah it helped quite a bit for sure.
Kind of wish I hadn't done it though tbh.

That sucks. Should’ve been a way to backup.

Is there someone who can post exactly how to do this thru bimmercode or via USB? there are a few threads on this topic but no "step by step" guide of any sort.

Hopefully someone can chime in and help us out

I just grabbed it for $300 in my '18 LCI. I'd say poke around the ConnectedDrive store, the option may still exist.

I found a guy on eBay who was only charging $28.99 for the fullscreen Carplay mod and I had a $5 eBay coupon, so it only cost me $23.99! He asked for my VIN, and then sent me a file which I uploaded onto a USB drive which I plugged into the car. It only took a few minutes to load and it works great! Now I have full screen Apple Maps, Waze, music, and every other app. Best $23.99 mod ever!
