Classic BMW Track Day - April 3, Cresson Motorsport Ranch

I guess as a perk for purchasing a new M2 Competition, I've been invited to the track day on Wednesday April 3rd at the Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX. Anyone else from here attending? I'm in Plano so would be happy to carpool in my old '11 335i since my new M2C is still on a ship 800 miles away from Florida in the Atlantic... Using BMW provided cars anyway, but it would have been more fun to show up in the new car.

Send me a PM if you're interested...

I believe so. Especially since it's free (at least for me). Not sure if we're sharing the track that day with anyone else or if it's multiple BMW dealers. The actual invite is somewhat brief.

Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019

Classic BMW would like to invite you to a day at the track to discover how to properly handle your BMW. Event is free of charge and we will use our own equipment. All you need to do is RSVP and arrive at the track. We look forward to having you!

Breakfast will be there between 8-9am. Please sign in upstairs at the Clubhouse and be prepared for student class at 9am. After you will be introduced to your instructor for the day.

Lunch will also be provided.

Space is limited so RSVP to reserve your spot."

Yes it's a private event that Classic puts on for customer appreciation. People that bought new BMW's (I think M cars) get invites.

I have to say this experience was outstanding! The team at Classic BMW, Plano ran a really smooth and fun event. They had some 15 3 series cars there from 328d to 440i that were available to drive around the 1.7 mile Motorsport Ranch course. We also got a hot lap strapped into the passenger seat of one of their M235i race cars. That was one thrill ride for sure. The instructors were all very helpful and allowed each of us to explore our limits. I managed to stay on the track at all times and eventually turned a 1:36 lap in a 430i Gran Coupe. For the two afternoon sessions, you were allowed to take your own car out with an instructor first, then open for the last one. I opted not to thrash my 335i :-), but I can't wait to get my M2C broken in for a track day!

I highly recommend this experience if you're lucky enough to get the invite!
