Crankcase Ventilation hose failure

Got this CEL with mods: PS2 turbo, charge pipe, meth, JB4+, Wagner intercooler, DV+. Seen this on other forums but none on 16 OG M2 with mods. Any advice please? Car runs fine otherwise

What's the actual code, and was this from ista? Generic obd2 scanners are crap since they can't get BMW specific codes.

However if it really has to do with the pcv hose, then in most likelihood the brittle plastic hose has cracked. It is very common especially after heat cycling for awhile, and it could have cracked. Since these cars can measure vacuum it probably detected a leak in the crankcase caused by your faulty hose and triggered the cel. Just open the hood and feel the pcv hose by gently squeezing it. If it feels firm then it's ok check the connections if they're secure, if it feels like it's crunching around or brittle like a bunch of broken pasta noodles the hose body is broken and you'll need to replace it. Make sure you feel the entire length of the hose from the valve cover to the intake inlet pipe, and do it when the car is cold if you don't want to burn yourself.

The code was picked up by JB4 as 20E120 breather crankcase ventilation hose: disconnected/defective and also showed up as warning indicator light on dash

Yeah it's likely the hose itself being broken or the connection to the crankcase or the inlet pipe being lose. The only other code for the PCV hose is crank case hose heater related which is due to not plugging the heater back in. In this case it is highly likely the hose is defective.

Also check if your oil cap is loose that could be contributing to vacuum leaks in the crank case, since the car detects vacuum leaks from the crank case and always suspects the pcv system to be the issue and not the oil cap (since they expect that to be tighten when the car is running.

Just saw a stg 2 turbo install and if ur using the pure inlet there's a screw for the PCV pipe that didn't work for the tech working on the car I saw. He zip tied the pcv and made sure the o ring was on securely. That could be ur problem. See where the hose connects to the inlet pipe close to the rad fan.

Put the stock intake in. Never seen the code again.
