Hey guys,

Planning on ordering the M2C early next year . I am thinking of doing ED for spring . Wanted to find out what kind of discounts have people got in Toronto (GTA Area) ? I have been told 7% is the cost , however someone told me they got 10% . Is that possible or total BS. Will be a custom order ( Hockenheim Silver, 6MT, HK Upgrade, Glass Sunroof). Thinking best time might be in Feb with the Autoshow credits.

When I did my ED I met a Canadian at the Welt that was picking up his car. He said that Canadians don't get an ED discount...your mileage may vary. In 2015 BMW offered a 7% ED discount in the US. In 2016 they lowered the official ED discount to 5%. Of course you are free to ask for more discount. I was able to get a 13% discount with my first ED in 2015.

There is Msrp, invoice, ED price and ED invoice price. Depending on ur dealer u can get more discount on top of ED

Did ED in Aug 2018 for the M2C for the first time. My understanding is that there is no discount for Canadians.

FYI, I am ordering an M2C next week and delivery will be last March. No ED discount and apparently the autoshow discount does not apply to M cars. The only discounts are professional association discounts (CPA etc...) and BMW club of Canada 2% discount. But you should be able to get 4-5% even with an order.

I've asked some fellow Canadians who have done ED (as I am looking to do something similar to you) and I was told 5-7% discount is possible. Might need to do some negotiating and ask at a few dealers to see who will play ball.

Also want to know about the discounts. Let us know which dealer you go with and what they offer... I am also considering an M2C or one of the last M4s.

I did an ED in July 2018 for my M2C (I was in fact the first person in the world to do so ). Canadians don't get an ED discount. Just look up the Retail Guide for Canada vs. the US. It's clearly not there.

You can still try to negotiate a few % off with your rep. Nothing to do with ED.

Up to last year, the M2's were off the list. I know, because I applied for my M2C and was rejected. But it looks like you may be in luck, and they've changed their policy! It says only the X7 is excluded right now... Get on it while it's there!

Yeah but you need to be a member of a BMW club for a year or more to get the discount. My car will be delivered in March, one month after my membership anniversary

^^^ this is what actually stopped me from signing up . I just got my car so I won’t be needing a new BMW for a while so basically don’t need to pay the fees until I know a year from my next purchase .

Now if the discount was immediate , I would sign up immediately and pay yearly after that.

Spoken like a true, loyal fan of the brand. Yeah, that's exactly what they had in mind for how the membership was designed to be (ab)used. Gee, I wonder why they put a 1 year waiting period on it? Certainly not to flush out those who buy the membership just to get a discount!?
