BMW Wifi Hotspot

I'm looking for purchase an Escort Max 360c radar detector. This detector can connect to a vehicle Wifi hotspot however can only connect to a 2.4Ghz network. Does anyone know whether the BMW Wifi hotspot is 2.4 or 5Ghz? I have an '18 M2

Suggest calling bmw to validate, but have to assume it's 2.4 ghz. Would be shocked it was 5 ghz only, but stranger things have happened.
