Detailing ceramic coatings

It's time to get my car detailed. I had the car coated with CQuartz (pro I believe) soon after I bought it.

When picking a detailing place do I need to have one that stays within the CarPro line, or anyone will do as long as I let them know about the coating?

The guys that did it originally are great, but the location is not convenient. I'd like to find something a little closer to home, or mobile, but don't want to mess up the coating

does the car also have any PPF?

overall, the coating applied is supposed to last for a long time. "detailing" the car will mean mostly a maintenance for exterior and interior. it can be a simple wash preferably with an additional application of a sealant (completely optional). you can do the application after each wash if you want. and no, it does not have to be the same product line.

linked below are some of the products i currently use and recommend.

Sonax Spray & Seal (very easy application during wash process)

Nanolex SiFinish (small bottle can go a looong way. easy application and removal. great drying agent.)

Kenotek Showroom Shine (great drying agent. keeps the shine on well. bottle lasts long as well.)

Agree with the post above. I went with OptiCoat Pro Plus and I just do a standard 3 bucket wash every 1.5-2 weeks and use a sealant that doubles as a drying agent, coat looks and beads just like it did the day it was done and I'm coming up on 2 years.

Yes it does. Not full, front end and a few other spots. Change anything?

And thanks for the recommendations on products.

Just tell your detail shop it's coated. That's all you need to do. They will limit their detail to a deep cleaning wash but stop short of any mechanical correction like cutting and buffing. it just means that any paint defects you have now are trapped under the ceramic coat and there to stay.

They will also likely go lighter on the clay bar as a more aggressive bar could damage the coating.

Doesnít change anything. Iíve had great results with the products I have shared. I sometimes bring the SiFinish with me when I have a different detail shop wash my car. I ask them to use it as a drying agent and they normally oblige.
