I just bought this for my OG
Was wondering what others think of the inside finish? Does the inside need to be trimmed or is that not a issue for airflow? Also the adapter is clearly marked V1 and the Box says V2 and that's what I ordered Anybody that's familiar with this inlet know if the adapter to the turbo is Version 1 or a V2 ?

I also do recommend washing out your silicone hose with distilled water it does look a bit dusty.

Your pic shows that the aluminum piece has a sticker indicating V2. That to me, looks like a V2. That's the one you'd want.

Installed the MST Version 2 inlet
Best way to install it is to remove the PCV hose from the valve cover and pre attach it to the billet fitting that attaches to the inlet Otherwise it's almost impossible to install because you cannot access one screw With enough finesse I got it to fit together with the intake and have it situated so it's not really touch anything Heads up MST pre installed the PCV fitting incorrectly causing it to be impossible to attach the set screw that holds it together Results we're having to start over and fix their ridiculous oversight An aftermarket intake is overrated for sure I am impressed with the MST Inlet so far

Mine had a wiring harness, or some sort of a hose in the way, there's no way I could've done it any other way in my situation Point taken though because those little tabs inside that sucker are very delicate

But yes those pcv hose clips are very brittle, I believe a fuel hose connector remover tool or something similar would be key to easily removing it.
