Wow,very expensive package. They really loaded it up with every M performance part BMW makes for the M2.
They even added the 736M wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.I had assumed that BMW would save those wheels and tires for the M2 CS because the M4 CS has them. Any info on if all of these parts are installed at the factory. |

Most of the parts will be installed except the wheels and suspension upgrade to be dealer installed.
Each dealer is guaranteed 1 copy

Are you sure about the dealer install of those parts.Normally all the factory ordered M performance parts are installed at the port in Halifax.

Yeah, it seems like just another case of BMW Canada deciding to get on the "special edition" train by bundling up a bunch of add-on bits and charging a huge premium. The dealers seem to love to do this with cars they have sitting on the lot, if someone backs out and they can't find a buyer then the dealership adds a bunch of M Performance parts and charge high prices. At least with the US Performance Edition they offered things which weren't available outside the special edition (e.g. manual seats, manual climate control, etc).
I think it's just a way for the dealers to get around the rules about not charging over MSRP, by adding on the bits they can charge high prices and labour to pad the margins. I wonder how many people there are actually buying lots of these parts and paying MSRP? I personally wouldn't want all the bits included in this package and definitely wouldn't want to pay that much for the whole set. |

Quote from Dealership in Oakville on this stuff (same 12 items) came to CAD $25,500 - wheels/tires were $6,981.20 installed - so there is a "discount" there. However, they were adamant that the 763M wheels and SC2 tires are coming on the car from the factory and that the buyer will NOT get two sets of wheels/tires (BMW is keeping the stock wheels/tires). So with that, the package becomes much less attractive IMO, especially as someone already said, there is no performance gains to be had here (with exception of suspension and tires I guess). Better to spend your money on Dinan S2 at 10K and at least get some HP/Tq gains.

I called my guys up out of curiosity and they told me the same thing. You only get one set of wheels/tires.
