Install is happening on Wednesday. So far all I can say is WOW, I am very impressed with the build quality, at least by appearance. The welds are pretty damn beautiful. Hopefully the wait was worth it.

Received mine Friday and installed it yesterday. Really easy install, great build quality and the sound is amazing. Very happy with the exhaust!

How does it sound with the valve open?

That's awesome, I'm glad to see people are finally getting their Dinan exhaust. I'll finally get mine this Wednesday! Just a quick question, how is the fitment of the exhaust, does the exhaust still hangs a bit low compare to the stock exhaust?

I'll have an answer for you on Wednesday, but I have already spoken to EAS about it in the past, and they had some tricks to get it to hang properly.

Pretty sure they would tweak the hangers to pull the muffler up in the past, if needed.

I have only driven it 10 miles or so since the install but initial impressions were good. Clear difference between comfort/sport/sport + modes. At idle it has more of a rumble but not significantly louder. Definitely louder with valve open and nicer/louder burbles

Fitment is perfect, I did have to adjust the sleeve a bit to move the exhaust tips up. I found the more I slid it towards the muffler the more it pulled the tips up. With a little adjustment it lined right up.

Teck24 What is your full exhaust setup? I am going to be running the fabspeed sport cat, Dinan res delete and Dinan muffler.

I've got a valve controller as well, currently set to always open. How are you finding the cold start so far (I am going to be flashing to stage 1 and deleting cat heating one I figure out a timing/knock issue)

That's a shame you've got a delay. We'll have to do that exhaust comparison now that we'll both have the Dinan's

I am all stock besides the Dinan muffler. My wife hated how loud the car was on cold start in stock form so the muffler will be as far as I am pushing it for now. Especially since our 11 month olds bedroom is right above the garage. It does sound better on cold start, deeper and more of a growl but not obnoxiously loud.

Just a trick for that, in case you didn't know it, but if you very lightly apply the throttle on startup it will interrupt the cat heating it does by opening the waste gate. You need to hold it for about 30 seconds, but it does really help with quieting down the cold start.

Thank you! I'm looking forward to your review! Hopefully, I can get mine installed this Friday. I'm running the mid-pipe and the muffler.

Well, so far the exhaust is unbearable. The actuator appears to be stuck in the open position, and with the sport cat the drone is terrible and the volume is incredibly loud.

I'm going to mess with it after work and see if I can fix it.

You may have the actuator spring on backwards preventing it from ever closing. I did that when I installed it and could never figure out what was going on. Flipped the spring and bam - quiet exhaust.

I had EAS do the install so I am hoping they did it correctly, but I have a feeling this is the issue.

Did you double check that you didnt change the setting in BM3? I think I changed mine to open all of the time, no matter the mode/gear/load

Yes, I double checked that just to be sure. But I flashed it yesterday morning and re-checked the settings to be sure. I leave BM3 on OEM so my Macht Schnell controller can change it on the fly using the stalks.
