1/4 mile times and improvements

Hello everyone,
I’m planning to test 1/4 mile Times and improvements after each mod I get done, and it would be nice see what others are doing and their mods for 1/4 mile ETs.
I know about the search tool but I couldn’t find enough information to help me in my Decisions.
When my car was stock my best was 12.9@111 with bad traction, not 100% sure but I could’ve done 112 that day.
Current Mods:
Vrsf downpipe catless
FMIC CSF
Vrsf charge pipe
BM3 stage 2 93
I do have pure turbo stage 2 but not yet installed, I want to see what the car does without the pure turbo first.
Tire set up 285-30-20 Pirelli’s Pzero
I have 19s that I’m getting a better traction tires on them soon.
This could take time but I will post every time I have something new.

Not my thing. An M2 is not the best straight line dragster. It is known for its handling not straight line acceleration. An Audi RS 4 will kill it.

Your best bet is to have fun at the dragstrip because you'll probably never have a decent time with this car, it's just not the right kind of car/set-setup. It's not about power, which you already know, it's all about putting it down, and to that end the car just doesn't want to do it.

Sideways or noways with this car.

I'm not sure how much help it would be switching to 18's (if at all), but I guess fresh rubber & maxing out your fitment is your best guess.

I know bmw usually tunes these cars to be super torque heavy and to die out towards redline, and the bm3 tune I had only made that problem worse which in turn will make it even more difficult to get off the line.

My current tune from bend calibration helps my car not dump that psycho level of torque off the bat, instead it gives it at around 3.5-4k rpm's. Maybe something similar might help?

I know what the can is intended for, I understand it’s a handling car not a dragster. I’m not making it’s a dragster car, but at the same time we can’t be closed minded . This is also fun.
All I want is to see what’s the members got 1/4ET and what is their mods.

For the traction issues, nothing a good sticky tires can’t fix

I hear you, I got into that a bit several years ago, and it's definitely fun, but the fun wears off when you get your ass handed to you enough by Civics. I'd say definitely light 18" wheels with super sticky tires are a minimum. You need a bit more sidewall for the wrinkle grip.

I’m fine with losing to civic lol, the fastest car I ever been in is Mitsubishi Eclipse, it’s part of the fun.

Ok here's what you can do:

1) get the drag rear brake kit. This will delete your 2 pot rear calipers for extremely tiny 2 pot calipers.

2) With mod 1 you should be able to fit 17" or smaller (can't really remember because drag racing isn't my thing) rims which should allow you to have access to really nice drag radials.

3) get some drag shocks to set the proper ride height.

4) get the dual mount turner diff brace which shod allow the diff to stay more connected eliminating wheel hop.

With this you should be able to get your times down significantly if you launch correctly.

If you're a dct get a dct tune if you're a manual delete your cdv and learn how to launch and shift quickly.

After this get better rear suspension endlinks to better set toe, camber, caster etc.

If you're super serious delete the fender liner to get the maximum rear wheel size. I believe you can stuff a 305 back there if you really tried. Then increase the power, and done right savings mods. You should be able to get some decent times.

After that swap the m diff out for a mechanical diff.

Thanks a lot for the information but This little too extreme for me, I don’t want to turn it to a drag car, I still enjoy the handling of the M2, mid to low 11s is would be perfect.

Yeah it's going to be hard because the f87 chassis was not meant to go fast in a straight line without heavy mods. The f87 chassis was built to corner.

I guess there is one way to find out😎, once I get the tires for the 19s I’ll go, but no one have them in stock.

Once I try it I’ll post the ET, as is I’m hoping for low 12s. I’ll be very happy with 118 MPH.

Driver mod is key if you're 6mT. Focus on the 60' first get that down the ET and trap will follow suit

Sticky tires low pressure nice burnout

I Consider myself an ok driver, I’ve done many 1/4 mile runs with standard cars. But luckily I have DCT on the m2.
I actually ran 11.70 on f80 M3 Com Completely stock even the tires, Also DCT.
