M2 vs BRZ? (as a daily)

Can anyone compare the daily aspects of BRZ vs OG M2? Road noise mainly, but also comfort.

I'm sure the power is great (I owned 335is DCT), interior will be nicer (had a few BMWs in the past), and both will be fun to drive, but I really can't stand the road noise inside the BRZ at any speed above 60mph (I might be over-sensitive from work, but can't help it). Is the M2 noticeably better?

I'm not expecting S-class levels of silence, just something comparable to a modern hatchback at least.

It's hard to find one near me for a longer test drive ATM, I don't want to fly cross-country just to try it.
And to answer the obvious question: M235i/M240i is almost non existent where I live (Italy), there are 10x more M2s for sale, so it's not really an option.

I own both an M2 Comp and a GR86 which is basically a BRZ. I initially planned on keeping the M2 as a weekend/ fun car and use the GR86 for daily commuting duties. However I will say that similar to your experience, the interior noise inside the GR86 at highway speeds is definitely more noticeable compared to the M2. Another note is how the M2 is actually more stable and inspires more confidence when driving in the wet. The GR86 is definitely more tail happy in the wet which is most likely due to the lower weight coupled with a a more on/ off torque delivery at low/ mid engine speeds. Alas after one winter I have now switched to where I drive the M2 more on a daily basis and have invested in suspension modifications to the GR86 to make it more of the weekend/ track car. So to summarize, I believe you'll be happier with the M2 as a daily driver if you had to choose between the two.

Toyota set up the GR86’s suspension with a bias toward oversteer. In contrast Subaru set up the BRZ’s suspension with a nod toward stability/understeer:

My brother owns a ‘22 BRZ. I own an ‘18 M2. So I get to compare them fairly directly on a regular basis.

The M2 wins by a wide margin in terms of the road noise issue — especially for highway/freeway speeds at 60 mph or above. The M2 can get some pretty significant tire noise on rough roads at those speeds, but is otherwise quiet and composed (for a sports car). The BRZ is just plain loud at those speeds — especially the piped-in engine noise. And road expansion joints reverberate very loudly thoughout the BRZ’s cabin.

Cabin comfort is fairly similar in both, unless you’re a wider or taller person. The BRZ bolsters are a bit constricting to my body shape, especially on longer-distance drives. I’m 5’11” and legroom and headroom are fine for me in the BRZ if I move the chair nearly as far back as it can go.

The road noise is way more prevalent on the frs. Entire reason why I sold mine. Doing 80-90 on the highway It's buzzing around 4000 rpm or something. It's a terrific car within the city. But horrible on long highway drives. Bmw is way better, especially if you get the dct which adds a 7th gear
