Anyone thinking about selling their M2 CS? I'm a serious buyer in Los Angeles.
Currently have a 981 GT4 in Paint to Sample and an E92 M3 in a BMW Individual Color. Looking for an M2 CS to replace the E92 M3. I'm located in Los Angeles and serious with cash in hand/no girlfriend or wife approval needed. Let me know what you have.

Not actively trying but cash talks.
Misano Blue - Manual - gold wheels - cup 2s - steel brakes - bone stock, no mods whatsoever (aside from the S55 engine cover with M2CS logo if that counts as a mod) - full front PPF (hood, headlights, front lip, bumper, mirrors, roof, fenders) - 6.8K miles - also has SlipLo on front lip to protect from being scraped DM me if this spec is what you're looking for. Located in Palm Springs

There's one for sale at Winslow BMW still that was traded by a member here. I think mine is already sold out of EAG. I can attest to the one at Winslow BMW, i've examined it, it's a solid purchase. Although you're paying $20k over original MSRP..

I have a e92 M3 as well and happy I didn't sell it before getting the M2 CS. I enjoy both cars a lot since they are very different and that V8 sings ….. with the AA axle back

Check with EAG, they usually have incoming cars that are not on the website yet.

Thanks everyone for the PM's, I've been offered 4 cars through PM's here and 2 dealers have reached out to me. For transparency sake, all the cars I have been offered have been 2-6k miles asking 98-105k with a mix of 6MT/DCT. A few members have also PMed me some data points for actual sold M2 CS's and what people have traded them into dealers for which seems to be high 80's. Doesn't seem to be any cars moving or many selling in the 100k+ price point recently.

I would have to sell the E92 M3 to make garage space for the M2 CS unfortunately(I'm limited to 2 spots and the GT4 is a paint to sample 1 of 2 in America so its not going anywhere). I've spoken to another member who has both an E92 M3 and the M2 CS who actually told me they enjoy driving the E92 M3 more than the M2 CS which I can honestly see because I didn't think I'd keep the E92 M3 for so long but its a special car. This makes me a bit hesitant now if the "upgrade" to the M2 CS is worth it. |

I drove a stock E92 M3 prior to my SC'd M3 and really was underwhelmed. I like angry cars and the E92 did not create that silly OMG feeling that the M2cs does. Please do not get me wrong, the M3 is a fantastic car, just not what I was looking for in a weekend toy. If cost is a factor, the M3 is the clear choice. If passion is your motivation, the M2cs wins. Everyone has different criteria for these type of decisions, I wanted to share mine. Good luck either way...

Have you ever driven an M2 CS? Ask your friend to loan you his for a few hours. That E92 will be long gone. No offense to the E92

This discussion reflects why at the end I decided to keep both cars and looking into adding a lift in my garage. The M3 has no real pull unless you rev it out and the overall linear feel plus sound is too much fun. The M2CS is effortless, you can literally go WOT in any gear and it'll move….6th gear on the highway gets you to triple digits in no time. M2CS is the better car without a doubt in my opinion, and it looks more special as is.
I do agree that the Porsche should stay regardless, that's where we agree. |

Honestly the S65 engine in the E92 M3 is better than my GT4 engine as well(everything else in the GT4 is better than the M3 but not the engine). Yes it's not the fastest car but its about the journey/experience. |

But, the M2 CS is absolutely the better car in terms of handling, power, and the S55 is a hell of a lot more reliable then the S65. |

The M2 CS is a much more flawed car (light clutch, cheap interior materials, big steering wheel, not NA if you consider that a flaw). The way the CS handles, the special feeling of the turbo engine in gear with linear power delivery, i would not sell you my M2 CS at any price while i will probably sell the Porsche at some point next year. It has just such a special feeling to it, in the way it drives that the modern Porsche just doesn't have despite its roaring engine note, great gear shift, whatever. It doesn't matter what amount of money you want to offer me for the CS, i just won't find that driving experience anywhere else and there is only like ~400 manuals made i think. Everyone selling one will regret it in a few years while everyone that has an M2C or whatever will keep saying its not worth the money. I think for me i just will never sell it, i'd rather drive it into the ground that hand those keys to someone else. Hopefully that give you some perspective. I think the M2 CS was a reach car for some people that wanted it to be faster or want to upgrade to get a Porsche, or whatever. But if you love driving a manual rear drive car, i don't think it gets better than this ever. I can't believe the amount of people selling them, it continues to perplex me, I'd love to know what they are selling them for. Last edited by ScullyD; 12-05-2021 at 03:37 PM.. |

Seems you are on the fence about selling your E92 M3 for a M2CS, maybe you outta find a local guy to take you for a test drive.
Having owned a E92M3 Comp as well as GT4, GT3 and 991 Turbo S, I'm being honest when I say the M2CS is very special. It is worth every penny even at 105k, will be hard to find such a special & well rounded car for this price. Goodluck ! |

I drove my e92 and CS back to back this weekend and as a previous poster said, the driving dynamics combined with a manual in the CS are special, and I totally understand why many of us are holding on to these cars.
