You can have the exhaust valve 100% open in sport and sport plus with bootmod3 tune, you can adjust it in the options ( if you don't want to flash the car because warranty then the other option is
Other way to open the exhaust valve 100% of the time is coding it with Bimmerlink, super simple and easy to do |

I also agree that compared to the OG and Comp, the CS valves have a mind of their own - putting in Sports/Sports+ does not necessary open the valves. As a result, I installed the VSC-2 Valve Controller. Now I'm in total control. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-cg-preci.../0002vsc2~cgp/ |

Here's another option. I have this on my M2C as it works with the S55 also. Plugs into the OBD reader and is controlled by the BC switch on the turn signal. https://burgertuning.com/collections...e-for-f-series |

My akra link pipes came with a "control module" has anybody used this ? Seems somewhat similar to some of the above options. I can't seem to find much information on it. It was included w the full exhaust setup

Although I admire your taste in cars, I think you excelled with the four-legged friend

Any thoughts on the M2CS vs AMG GTR? Was considering upgrading to one.

Aston are AMG influenced vehicles now, not that it is bad, I haven't driven the new ones yet…..but engine, transmission, entertainment etc. might be similar between these two, I meant the GT/R

Yeah, they're pretty much exactly the same from a powertrain/chassis perspective. However, the Aston gives you that sweet 7-speed dogleg manual option.

Congrats!
I also have a GT3 and an M2 CS. The exhaust is the most disappointing part of this car if you have a GT3. I still have my stock CS exhaust and have become used to it. It sounds good. I just wish it was louder. However, it is my daily driver so I can't complain. 13k miles. |

The BMW M Performance exhaust transforms the CS. It should have come with this exhaust from the factory. May be a good option for you.

The AMG GTR is an absolute animal. I loved it so much that I regretted selling my green launch edition and bought a white one a year later. The white one has upgrade iPE downpipes. It's a lovely toy with tons of power. Having said that, I still feel the manual GT3 was more enjoyable from a drivers perspective. It's hard to beat the gearing on the 991.2 GT3, but I will say that the AP2 Honda S2000 comes very close

Agree on the exhaust. Love the sound, but wish it were louder. I'm afraid that if I swap the exhaust it will be loud when I don't want it to be loud. It's a DD. Wife and I are planning another purchase that will be more focused on exhaust etc. We decided that I should keep the exhaust stock, equip iron brakes, and put the saved funds into next car. I think I've got her convinced that the upcoming ZR1 is a better buy than the Z06 . We'll see. I want a gt3, but her turn to pick.
I really enjoy hearing the perspectives of folks with other brands. Thanks! |
