Some people put it under the plastic shroud near the fire wall and bolt it to the aluminium strut brace. But you might need to delete the shroud to make it fit. https://www.apexraceparts.com/blog/p...or-the-bmw-m2/

The other place people put it is exactly how you have it mounted right now, and with this config you don't need to delete anything.

For my MCS installation I custom made the below brackets for the front and rear.

Most owners place near the strut brace but my canister mock up on the M2 would just touch the bonnet. Also moving away from the engine bay eliminates some of the radiant heat.

For the rear I wanted them up high and out of the way unlike some installs mounted to the rear interior trim.

PS: I have seen some owners that don't have the headlight heat sink on top place the canisters on top of the headlight. Not sure if that was a M4 or M2 though

The 3D print has a curve to match the rail. Thoroughly cleaned all parts and used 3M adhesive promoter and 3M VHB 20mm wide. Some will say it won't hold however if you have ever used adhesive promoter and VHB it is incredibly strong provided the surfaces are super clean. Same way as you install a rear spoiler. So far has held up not an issue. For future I may redesign with a centre hole and a blind nut, bolt and washer to compliment the tape. Could potentially also use betalink k1

oranzada_m2c the problem with that bracket is it will not sit the canister in the right spot imo.

It is hard to explain but if you look at my bracket it is raised up from the rail. Since your bracket needs to screw in it needs to sit lower to screw into the rail. Take the inner liner off and see how it sits paying attention to the angle of the canister plus allowing sufficient room to get your hand in to adjust from the engine bay.

Your bracket looks like it uses a nut. As the rail is L shaped and no accessible cavity you need to a use a blind nut setup and have the ability to tighten the clamp through the mount. All this is hard to explain.

Mock it up and let us know how you go.

It is not as bling as having them in the bay but for me it works and I can adjust from the engine bay.
