Hey y'all. Have had my m2c for about two months now and the brakes are driving me crazy with all the squeak and squeals. I've tried to bed them in as well but it doesn't seem to work…I've called the dealer to see if I could bring the car in to see why the brakes squeak so much but they assured it's due to it being the competition brakes. I was wondering if anyone else has had issues with squeaky brakes and what the best replacements are for street driving ?

Maybe they are just not trying to get to the bottom of it, and are not particularly informed on the subject. The comp brakes may squeak from time to time but it's not like they must.

It seems like there's a certain temperature range they squeak at for me. Usually something like 70 degree days when i've been driving for a little while in the city and i'm almost completely stopped.

This is one thing I'm not looking forward to with the 2NH brake package. Right now I'm in bliss with the blue brakes + Akebono pads; super low dust, no noise at all ever, and they don't eat rotors. If they made them for the 2NH package I'd probably already have it.

If wanting an oem solution, try F10 M5 oem pads.

G-Loc is even better, but they aren't made for the 2NH either. My 3rd choice would be the EBC Redstuff, which I think you can get for the 2NH. All these pads are for street driven cars where people want low dust, little to no noise, and longer lasting rotors. |
