Those things aren't adding anything more than if you'd just rip out the charcoal filters.

Don't intakes require some sort of tuning or can you get away with it for sound purposes and just not take advantage of much added power by letting it run on the stock tune? They look sick but I'm just astounded by the price... but everyone loves more Carbon Fiber!

True, the gains Darryl was feeling were just placebo effect. Don't let the MAF sensor being present fool you, these S55 stock tunes are speed density. You could probably put giant 5" intakes in there and without tuning to adjust for it, the gains will be incredibly minimal.

But, those intakes do look bad ass and sound great (from what I heard, couldn't really hear it well in the video). I'd totally get it just for the sound and looks.

Hey now, I should have made it clear this was just me poking fun at the key frame on the video, it made me think of F&F.

Please don't take offense with my attempt at humor. I have enjoyed all of your videos. You and your father really seem to enjoy your M2's and I hope you can continue to do so for a long time.

It does not matter one bit what a bunch of random people on the Internet think about you or your car. Please continue to keep us updated with these videos.

Not that I know of, but it would make sense that a running more boost (a tune) would get more out of the intakes. Thank you though, I got 'em for Darryl for the looks and sound mainly! Never enough carbon

I wouldn't be surprised, but there honestly did seem to be slightly better throttle response. Thank you! They do sound great in person, but not really loud enough compare to the engine/exhaust noise for it to come out well on video

Great video. Best eventuri video I've seen. Thanks for sharing.

It looks like a work of art installed. Beautiful seeing the care in design.

Love it. Was a long term F80 owner and the F87 CS has perfected the F series chassis, DCT transmission and S55 engine tune in one brilliant package.

I'm getting an AA EL with Akra box in a month's time. The eventuri was always something I've considered and may go there. I'm keeping all my original parts intact so I can part out to stock whenever I want to.

Keep the videos coming.

I totally agree on it being the perfected F series chassis. Hopefully one day I'll get to experience the M2 CS in DCT, but from the driving I've done in the manual, it's beyond amazing.

That is one impressive setup. Please post a video somewhere once you do the mid pipe and exhaust, I think we'd all love to hear it! Good idea

Every Thursday at 9:00 AM EST until YouTube ceases to exist Thanks again for your support!

No need to apologize... just pointing out that there are a few M2CS's with eventuri intakes already. I had them in my M4. Putting them in my M2CS wasn't even a question. Def not about performance... more about sound and engine bay bling. Paired them with eventuri charge pipes.

Guaranteed CEL. Not right away, later. New electronics suck for modifying intakes.

It's possible, but honestly doubt it. My Injen intake threw a CEL for the first few starts because I had started the car with the MAF sensor disconnected, but after that it's been fine

It's a speed density based tune from BMW. An intake swap is not going to throw a CEL because it doesn't primarily calculate fuel from the mass air flow sensor.
