How do they mount? Do they require drilling?

Looking at the pics, it looks like all the lower screens drill into place. In that case I would prefer the Zunsport ones myself. The kidneys though.. hard to see even in the pics because they are back behind.

GREAT news for at least one possible source for these parts! Thanks to BeastieBombRacing I confirmed with AP Motorsports in the UK that then CAN order these parts, have them in stock, and have zero issues shipping to the US!
So GREAT news there.. the theoretical prices listed on the US dealers (oddly) seem to be the best from what I see, but that means nothing if its impossible to actually order! Still hoping that FL dealer comes through? Happy to get their info and see if they can order for me as well if folks can share. www.apmotorsport.co.uk

Really like the idea of a larger gas tank... LOL (I really do), but aside from practicality of daily driving all of those mods look awesome. Thanks for the video, really good!

There are far cheaper and better places to order for some of these parts IMO. At least for the folks in the US. When you buy through AP, the conversion for their UK prices are absurd. I was able to source the AIM Dash surround for half the cost of what they list on their site.
Schmeidmann's is a better choice IMO. |

Well there's no surprise, you order they ship. It's that simple. I've ordered plenty of stuff from them with zero issues.

Parts have arrived at Schmiedmann and should ship to me likely tomorrow! Super excited on this, especially finding a reliable source for these parts!

Cannot wait, DHL just confirmed my sway bar and behind kidney screens show on Wednesday!
I keep looking over more of the parts on what might work. The lower brake ducting is tempting but have a feeling the twin ducts need the wheel liners off.

Received my front sway bar from www.schmiedmann.com a week ago. What great service from them BTW.
Bar installed over the weekend. Total time was 1.5 hrs for me. Half hour of that was struggling to get the brackets off the OEM bushings. There are 2 notches on each bushing preventing the bracket from slipping off. After much sweat, I clamped the bar on my workbench vise to hold the bar while I pried the brackets loose. After that, it was clear sailing. Was worth the cost and effort. Preliminary assessment, rides a little rougher over uneven roads, but very little roll on sharp and sweeping turns. Will put car on track in 2 wks for ultimate test. Special thanks to "BMW DIY Guy" for pointing me to www.schmiedmann. |

There are some tempting parts in the M2 CS Racing Coupe Parts catalog but before going on a shopping spree...
The appearance of a part number in the CS Racing Coupe catalog doesn't automatically indicate the part is different from the equivalent C/CS part. An example is the tie rod end top nut which is 33306787062 for all F87s but listed in the Racing Coupe catalog, presumably for convenience when ordering suspension parts after a crash! The same applies to a number of other parts I checked including the oil cooler and charge-air cooler. This makes it a time consuming process to determine which parts are actually different between the street and racing models. Stabilizer bars - how are they different from the aftermarket H&R offering (30/25mm)? |
