Driver's side tire temperature higher.

Just wondering if the left front tire's temperature is a result of its proximity to a cooling radiator or something else?

Going off memory here, but I thought it was passenger front. My M2C was the same though less of a temp differential in the CS.

I think the sensors inside the tires are not matched to each other well. I always see different pressures side to side, which bugs me . . . then I check all tires externally with the same pressure guage, there is no difference. I have given up on caring what the wheel sensors show other than being a warning if one is dropping.

I've found that on hot days the front driver's side tire has a higher temp that yields higher tire pressure. I had the same issue with the M235i. I'm pretty sure it's hot air from the cooling radiators.

It's absolutely hotter on that side. No clue why, because I thought both sides had the same radiators on them both with the same coolant, unless the radiator on the other side is for the charge air cooler only instead.

On cold days when the car is warmed up and water gets on the driver side radiator it'll steam it's so hot.

The main radiator is behind the front driver side wheel, that's why it's always hotter.

Alignment should be the reason… how is your alignment? That tire should be little inward or outward from the other 3. Thus makes more friction and generate more heat…

Unlikely, all the cars that I've driven with S55 engines seem to have that inbalance in temp…

Try driving clockwise (such as Lime Rock) on a track and your left front tire will be significantly hotter than the rest.

Left front is always where the various clickings start as well.
