I'm still on stock power, with a wider wheel and 275 cup2s still spin.
i don't think I can get wider without rubbing.

maybe everyone with big power is just running 60 treadwear? lol

edit: never mind. I see now it says r888r. so yeah.. 100 treadwear tires. lol
To be honest I've been trying to figure out how to tune it down and dial in around 500whp for the track. We're still working on that.

For now it's just about throttle control lol

His suspension also is top of the line. It helps put the power down. This build was well thought out.

Nice build! Would love a sound clip, I have the same exhaust setup minus the catless dp. I want to get one but worried it will be too raspy.

I'm curious to see what you think about custom E85 track tune. I was thinking about doing a F80Paul flex track tune, so i could have maybe 475ish on pump gas and 550 on E50+. right now i'm just running the OTS stage1 with 20% reduction in 1-3rd to take the top off the torque.

Impressive build with some crazy power. Looking forward to hearing the exhaust clip when you get a chance to post it.

The e85 tunes a theory that were running with right now in large part because it runs cooler, and has power benefits. Each track session burns through about 5 gallons how ever lol.

I really think the stage 1 we're working on is going to be the winning ticket just still working out the kinks so stay tuned for the final thoughts on that!

What contributed to your decision to run the lightweight front lip VS other carbon varieties?

I was bound to break a carbon front lip within a week lol. The lightweight one is incredibly durable and I hit it on the ground all the time since I daily drive this car.

I'll be switching to an MFR one in the near future for further aero benefits on track

Nice build and glad you are tracking it too. I'm curious how the weight came up to 3704 lbs? It's seems a bit heavier than what BMW publishes for a DCT Comp (around 3655 lbs).

That's with me and roughly 1/2-3/4 tank of gas in it. Sorry for not clarifying that!

This portion will be continually updated with notes on how the cars doing in track and lap times:

Couple of notes now that there's 2 track days, 3 drag days, 1 autocross day and 6,000 miles under the build:

First off, I absolutely love this car. I have beaten the fuck out of it and driven it home countless times. Literally ran the 1/2 mile all day at shift sector (2) days in a row and then drove home 4+ hours with no issues.

The suspension set up is so fucking good and I couldn't be happier. Adding compression (4 clicks) helped set up entry a bit.

The car loves trail breaking and that essentially got rid of under steer. (It's a skill I need to learn and master I'll admit, since you simply don't trail brake in a go-kart)

The 580 whp tune is fucking insane and needs to go. We had our fun but it's to much. I firmly believe it's hurting more then helping at the track since I have to wait so long out of the corner to get on power.

The stock brakes are working well with the ferodo pads, but they have their limits. At ACS there were a few places where I just wasn't 100% sure the car was going to stop.

The rear end is pretty unsettled on high speed corners. I think this is a mix of torque being to high and I think good aero is going to settle it down a bit. (We're gonna start with an APR gtc 300 67" wing soon and go from there)

I experimented with the beta bm3 CS transmission tune at ACS and I really like it. It noticeably shifts quicker and I plan on keeping it around.

The toyo r888r I'm aiming for 34 psi hot off the track on each tire right now. After each session I either take 1-2 psi out or leave it depending on how it is off the track.

Still undecided on if e85 is helping, hurting, or doing nothing. The fucker drinks fuel, each track day is 20 gallons on the side plus the 13 gallons in the cars tank.

I'm gonna do my best to keep this part of the thread going with PB's on each track I go to as well:

Current PB's:

Streets of willow CW: 1:29.4

Streets of willow ccw: 123.5

Auto Club Speedway Roval: 1:53.6

Laguna Seca: 1:41.05

Buttonwillow cw13: 1:56.9

Buttonwillow CCW13: 157.24

Hello there,

I really like your build and everything you choose as supporting mods is on point.

I own M2 n55 lci myself and also track it a lot, so I would like to suggest to try out nankang ar1 tyres 265/35/18 and 295/30/18 as I could not believe how much grip they have. It is also possible to run 275/35/18 in front to have even more grip.

Also regarding brake pads I see you are using ferodo, that is very good but make sure you are using ferodo ds 3.12 front and back as they make stock brakes with steel brake lining and motul 600 brake fluid more then neccessary.

If you'd like you can check my PB around Grobnik in Croatia
, all the mods are also in the video description.

Anyway, really looking forward to rest of your post and I hope you will post some video's from the track.

Cheers
Sven

Thank you! I'm using ferodo ds1.1 right now

And yes someone else with an m2 mentioned those tires on Sunday and I'm looking forward to trying them out next now that you mentioned them again

Thank you for the love!
