Also gotta add. Having the lower arm rest already feels like a game changer just sitting in the car! Highly recommend making yourself one especially if you have lower seats than stock!

On tonight's episode of I'm an OCD freak I am wrapping the barrels of my RIAs with PPF. Last track day something got stuck between the barrel and caliper and made a sweet black ring inside the wheel. I use a product called stoner tarminator to wipe track rubber smudges off the car. It took 90% off the wheel but I don't want more severe damage to occur. So PPF it is!

Idk how the PPF will handle the heat, the nasty brake dust or if it will affect balance. But I'm still gonna send it and find out! It's worth a shot to save $1000 wheels! I did the front 2. The rears don't come close like the fronts!

For anyone adjusting kw or coil over ride height where the spring and coil are separated.

Just take a long object and stick it up through the hole in the bottom of the LCA. Use a jack to put pressure on it and then the spring perch won't spin in the chassis while you adjust ride height.

That looks painful to me, I love the ground control weight jacks i have for rear adjustment. It could be something to consider if you make adjustments often.

Dang! I did not know those exist! I may have to grab a set in the future.

After cording the out side tires on Big willow last weekend I am again tweaking the suspension.

I've got stiffer springs, new front sway bar and end links coming.

Even with -3.4 degrees of camber the car had soo much roll in it that it just chewed the outside.

Hoping after this to have the suspension dialed and ready to attack!!

Nice build. I'm considering the CSA Shifter and am pretty sure I can install it, after installing an Auto-Solutions Shifter. The one thing that looks tricky is the adjusting and setting to Zero thing. Was it difficult to fine tune the shifter?

My shifter was tuned in when I got it. I didn't have to mess with the centering spring. The 3-4 shift was perfectly inline and didn't have excessive play like I saw in videos that indicated the need for adjusting of the spring. I did have to adjust the set screws for reverse and one other gear. Can't remember which. All in all it was easy.

I droped the trans brace and kinda just yanked the exhaust heat shield out then bent it back. With the trans brace out and the tranny drooped a little on a jack my big hands were able to do it. Took me 4 hours total.

I just can't keep my hands off this car lol. But when you work on cars all day, eat sleep and breathe cars, passionate about cars and have loved them since you were a toddler, what else is there?

Any ways tonight I prepared most of the front end for the Evo3 to go in. I still need to pull the factory front x bar, plastic shroud and then the VRSF IC and CP.

That will come next week. Then on the weekend of the 21st my plan is to get everything installed and the car driving again.

New install will include:
HR front sway bar
9k 14k springs and 60mm spring perches up front
Ground control sway bar links
Dorch stg2
Precision race works LPFP
evolution of speed LPFP controller
Bm3 e30+ stage 2 ots map!
50% e85 and 50% 91 CA pump gas

Also have a faulty shock being sent back to KW. And I'm tossing around the idea of picking up a bigger oil cooler.

More power, more cooling and I'm hoping to have the suspension finally dial for track driving!

Got the BPM4 LPFP controller in and my precision race works 525 LPFP in!

For anyone doing this themselves but the tank ring tool! Not possible without it and not worth the headache of messing stuff up. Cost 80 bux shipped but it was worth every penny making my life easy and the pump swap a 15 min ordeal.

Fuel it has a great DIY video and it's super easy!

For the BPM4 module the harness adapter doesn't require the smaller wiring harness from the car. It's just the big main harness. Also a very easy install. Not much to it. I tucked the wires up clean. Just waiting for a depin tool to come so I can depin the pump plug and insert the new wires.

Car is also prepped for new IC. And I've started prep for the new HPFP.

I plan on running at least e40. I'll probably just mix race jugs of 50/50 e85 and 91 and run that on the e30+ tune.

Also I sticky taped the BPM4 evolution of speed controller where the fix a flat crap goes next to the battery. Don't need that crap in the car lol

I'm
Just checking boxes tonight!

CSF oil cooler installed.

I wanted the Do88 but I didn't feel like waiting and I'm only going to have the bumper off for so long.

Easy with the bumper off!

We'll see how it helps oil temps. Last summer on big willow I saw them as high as 240-250.

I'll take any improvements over that. Especially with how easy and perfect the CSF oil cooler fits.

Wow this is an awesome build! What does this car weigh now if you have the figures?

I'd have to check what my last corner balance was. But at that time i had a different cage and stock seats.
I have definitely saved weight with the new cage and seats. The stock seats are heavy!

When I get it back on scales I'll post it here.

Last night the Dorch stage 2 pump went in.

There's 2 YouTube videos that were extremely helpful. It's actually quite easy. People online just dramatize and make stuff seem harder than it is.

The only thing is the way you run the low pressure line to the pump. Or lack there of a good way to run it. It basically needs to come up between the manifold and alternator. But the bottom of the manifold has a sharp section. So I ground it off with the angle grinder then sanded it soft and smooth. I'll post close ups of where the line runs for reference.

Today I'm getting the Evo3 install done and will hopefully have the car fired up tonight!

Also check out the difference of the pure turbo inlet. The stock pipe chokes down bad!

Very interested to hear how the CSF oil cooler performs, have one on the shopping list for this season but not a lot of factual info available.

I'll post it here! First drive with it tomorrow. Won't be pushing hard cause I need an alignment....again haha
Once I hit the track well see. I'm sure it'll help but I'm not 100% sold.

I'd check out the Do88 cooler if you're not in a rush. I wanted that but didn't want to wait cause I knew I'd have the bumper back on this weekend. So I scooped the CSF from turner.

Alright guys! Got the Wagner Evo3 FMIC, charge pipe and hot side pipe in. If you want more details on that or my opinion go check the main thread. I posted my 2 cents in that.

Got the dorch stage 2 in. Cars tuned for that, gonna burn the fuel in it and then tune the e30+ map in.

Got the pure inlet on.

First drive is tomorrow!

Another fairly large update!

I got the 3.5 TMAP that ZM2 recommended from FCP! I tuned the car for that with the e30+ map!

After the intercooler and pure inlet pipe along with the new fuel mods this thing pulls like a dam freight train!

The stock turbo still falls flat on its face in the upper RPMs though.

So I saw SebsM2 was selling a pure stage 2 and I scooped that up! I sent the turbo into pure just to have them go through it and make sure it's perfect! I'll be installing that in the next few months and then taking the car to my buddies dyno. The goal is 500whp. We will see what she makes with all the bolt ons, turbo and the e30+ tune. It would be really sweet to hit 500 without custom tuning. But we'll see!!

I also installed an HR front sway bar and have endlinks coming. So hopefully that will help compensate for the soft kw spring rate. If it doesn't help, I will be selling the KWs and looking for new coil overs!

Looking forward to seeing the numbers after the turbo, Tyler. You were a gentleman to work with
