Sad to see this water damaged M2 CS at Copart Germany. Wondering if it will be saved as the repair estimate is EUR96k.

I just wouldn't trust it. Modern eco-friendly plastics don't survive such a thing very well. Mold loves it. You'd have to gut the entire interior. Might be fine as a race car.

Given that the repair cost is greater than the pre-damage value its safe to say its history.
Not a lot would be salvagable imo.

Yeah. You could salvage off the CS specific exterior parts. Roof has to be destroyed to get off. Engine might be fine. However, there's nothing special about the CS engine outside of the tune. If you could get it for basically the cost of the hood it might be worth buying since you could quick flip the hood.

Major is an understatement. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...WVhOXNMVwZyM36
Presume you all know Copart generally only sells insurance salvage. Cost to repair + salvage value is within 70% +/- of the value. If it wasn't running when water came into it, engine MIGHT be fine. Electronics is a question. |

This is what I was thinking. Even then, I doubt the motor is OK without a rebuild. Looks like a full submersion in filthy water.

In this first episode they picked up the car from Copart Germany and noticed that there is water in the interior (cupholders, carpets) and the headlights look worse than on the photos. |
