Keeping RPM steady?
So i was jump-starting my other car, and tried to hold rpm steady at 2k, and i couldn't... holding the pedal steady at say 2k, then rpms start to rise up to like 3500... i tried bunch of times, then tried on my other car (which kept steady at 2k)...
dealer visit or is this normal? in efficient mode, i have a 6spd if that matters.

How did you hook up the jumper cables?
Also unless really desperate I would never use my CS to jump start another car and it seems like you had another car available. Anyway I'm guessing now the cables aren't hooked up, the car holds nice and steady at 2k rpm.

Where did you hook up the jumper cables? Battery or in the engine bay?

i hooked up the cables in the engine bay to jump start.
But to clarify, it does the same thing when not jump starting. If I'm sitting idle, i raise the rpm to say 2k, i can't hold it steady, it keeps climbing to about 3k. I mean, i tried really hard to concentrate, and after messing around, I'm able to get it to hold around that rpm, but its almost like trying to push a button just a tiny bit. Extremelly weird. I tried the same on my other cars, and i can easily hold rpm's steady (initially i thought maybe my foot is somehow moving without me noticing).

And with Modern car these days and all micro chips I'll leave the jumping to my old, less advanced cars. I doubt insurance would cover a bad wire jump that fries the computer? Yes, me being paranoid.

There's no issue, he's being a bit ridiculous. All automotive electronics have to be protected against nasty transients (load dump) and reverse polarity and have been for decades.
