M2 (N55) Catalyst Fault
I am going to de-cat my 18 M2. I have Torque Pro for monitoring, so I will be able to clear the fault (I believe) until I get my tune in the spring. Question is, does anyone know how often it will throw a fault? I am hoping every 500 or 1000mi or so. I would hate to have to clear it everytime I start. I am thinking I will go with VSRF de-cat downpipe, or is there another that will not CEL so much?
Also, doing this primarily for sound, would anyone recommend anything else to add volume, without being too loud. My exhaust is stock, and has no valve, unfortunately. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I have a VRSF downpipe and I feel like it doesn't throw the code that often, then again I don't drive it very often. You can also get an O2 sensor spacer or cat and it'll resolve the problem. Paired with a Dinan exhaust, it sounds pretty good (cold starts are honestly too obnoxious, but elsewhere it sounds great), though I have a feeling the Dinan exhaust does most of the work.

Any catless will throw a CEL, its usually between 50-100 miles.
You'll need a flash tune to hide the code or a catted downpipe that does not throw a CEL
