C7 vette to M2C
Anyone coming from C7 corvette to M2C, I just booked the M2C and will be coming from vette. Initial impressions are vette is more raw and loud and powerful, M2C is more refined and nimble and fast , the car does seem to be faster than the vette during initial take off
hope I made the right decision.

I think it’s entirely dependent on what you’re looking for.
For dual duty daily and track warrior the M2C is a happy medium, but the C7 in certain trims is a much more serious sports car. I think I’ll go opposite direction and replace my M2 with something with a V8 while I still can. C7 Grand Sport is high up on the list. |

The vette is great with that loud V8 noise but the M2 is more nimble and appears faster from the 2 test drives I had. I liked the steering feel and handling in the M2 better. My only complaint about then vette is the steering feels light otherwise awesome car overall

I kinda thought about a C7 grand sport instead of the M2. But it seemed like a much more difficult car to live with at the end of the day (especially since I was looking for a new daily.) parking the vette, seeing out of it and navigating narrow and bumpy streets were all big concerns. Those are weak ass reasons, but the unfortunate reality of my situation.

Coming from a ‘17 Camaro SS, I thought the acceleration in lower RPMs were better on the Chevy. Steering feel was relatively better on the SS as well. But the shifter, rev match, chassis/weight transfer, brakes were much better on the M2. Much prefer the idrive and audios(yes, the crappy HK stereo) than the Chevy stuff as well. Was cross-shopping the C7 GS, but the cracking rims and paint issues scared me away. Very happy I went with the M. |

I was impressed with the seemless rev match, compared to the rough Camaro. What I didn’t like as much was the engine brake. Camaro’s engine braking was strong enough that I barely had to use brakes when slowing down in traffic. The M2C, not so much. Overall, a huge step up in terms of quality, fit & finish. Hope you enjoy your M2 as much as I do! |

I had a 2015 C7 in 2015, didn't like the car and sold it within 3 weeks
like my m2c much better for various reasons including nicer size better visibility has the german refined feel, the c7 felt sloppy in lots of subtle ways better PARTIAL throttle response (the c7's throttle mapping is way too conservative, creates a lag in throttle response with any throttle inputs less than 3/4 of full throttle) I'd say all you will miss will be the sound and possibly the ride (the c7 rides very smoothly) |

I just bought a brand new 2019 C7 Z06 one of the last ones available. I'm going back to American muscle. I will say my 2018 M2 manual is an amazing car period...fit and finish is incredible. However, I love the brute force of the supercharged V8 more than the perfection and balance of the M2...call me crazy !

when I sell my jeep rock crawler i will be getting a C5 or C6 vette for a track/drift etc car. I drive with guys who street drive GT3rs 911's and then track vettes. Its such an underutilized platform because of the owner stereotype (New balances and JORTS) and for some reason 90% of the modded ones I see are built for straight line stuff which makes 0 sense to me.
I will however keep my M2, but as I'm getting more into track days I see the lower cost of owning a vette better and I like LS motors

Loved my 2017 C7 and only sold it because I had a C8 on order. Baege had a defective unit as best I can tell.

After an 800 hp C5Z, a 1000 HP C7, and a 1000 HP C7Z06 I was ready for a change.
Now I have an M5 Comp with around 700 w AWD and an M2cs on order and have to say, I like the BMW much more than I ever thought I would. Low RPM torque breaks parts and breaks traction. Done with both. |

wasn't defective, lots of threads on the corvette forums about laggy throttle response funny though some people don't feel the lag at all, I suspect those are the ones who tend to mash the throttle when they want to go It's the partial (like first 1/4) throttle response of the C7 that is disappointing for such a high torque car, but ironically they program the throttle that way because of the high torque (to save trees ) |

imo the vette is raw power and M2C is refined power.
