why on earth would you want 295/35 tires? you're gonna screw up the driveability and handling of the car, not to mention seriously impact the accuracy of the car in terms of rmp, speed, and computer settings for MDM, traction control, etc.
295/30 is what you want if you want meaty rears, but even so, you better update the fronts as well, as you are going to have a haptic impact on Understeer and Hydroplaning.

Now, if the ¼-mile is your game, then you're on to something, as the extra sidewall (with dropped pressures) will give you a much better bite. Optimal plus sizing for the wheels is 265/30 and 285/30, but most guys go with 255/35 and 275/35 to get the PS4S. |

That's incorrect.
The 295/35 is 1.8" taller than stock. Half of that is on the top end, and half is on the bottom, so .9" on the top side. .9" is 23mm, and the standard drop for the rear is 20mm, so it's only 3mm taller than that, and plenty of guys are lower than the standard 20mm. So it'll fit, it's just not optimal. |

My 763 will be arriving soon. So what would be the perfect tires for the 763? 265/30 front 295/30 rear or 255/35 F 275/35 R? I'm on stock suspension and no plans on lowering the car. Will be getting ps4s tires. No plans on tracking the car just some spirited driving. Thank you

If you absolutely have to change them, 255/35 & 275/35, but there really is no need. The front isn't any wider than stock, so you're just creating more understeer. But as you wish 😊 |

I'm not planning to go up in size (if I do it would be 255f/265r). But can you explain why 255/35 wouldn't be wider than 245/35?

Tires have no real standardization between themselves, or other tires. Knowing that the 245/255 is millimeters, you'd think that the 255 would be 10mm bigger...and it would be, if there were a standardization. But there isn't. And beyond that, remember that the second number, the 35, is a percentage, and as the sizes go up, the shoulder can easily get more round, causing the discrepancy as well. The ONLY way to do fitment properly is to check tirerack for the exact specs for each tire. I have the specs listed below. |
