763M vs KL11 - Which do you prefer?
Got the new combo on and I'm really loving it, but it's certainly different looking than the norm. Most guys go with slightly fatter tires, and the stretch to them makes them look even moreso. I went with a flatter sidewall and it changed the look entirely.
I chose these too pictures for comparison because it was easy to create (my driveway), but the second picture is a better representation of what the KL11's with the wider, skinnier tires actually look like. KL11 by a mile! I think these just look way more unique and special.

It's a close call. I like the color of the KL11's better than the the 763's you had. Do BMW center caps fit? Not sure about the gray center.

KL11's with the smooth transition to center hub really accentuates the deep dish look.

I love the 763s and have them (matte black) on my car.
But those KL11s make the 763s look boring and ordinary. The way that rear wheel/tire looks in the last picture…

The wheel/tire feel is quite hard to capture, but I keep trying. |

It's interesting…the first picture, looking at the wheels straight on, doesn't do it for me or do the wheels justice. When looking at the wheels from an angle, you can see the contour of the spokes, and that is what really brings out the character of the design.

KL11. Your wheels looks perfect with your lowered suspension. I guess most people here would think that with 265/285 tires, the wheel gap would be too much with a stock suspension. I assume 255/275 tires would be more appropriate for a stock suspension?

The KL11 is lighter than the 763M, even though it's larger.
F: 19 x 9.5 = 19.2 & 19.4 R: 19 x 10.5 = 20.1 & 19.8 Not sure why they weighed differently, but they did, right out of the box, weighed all 4 twice just to make sure. My shipping scale is super accurate as well. The 763M's I had were the same, each wheel was a slightly different weight. And I have to say, the quality difference between the 763M and the KL11 is MASSIVE. The 763M is literally junk by comparison. The machining, the finish, just the overall quality/look/feel/finishing of the wheel is just terrible. Whereas the KL11 set was so damn perfect and beautiful I didn't even want to put them on the car. The machining is spot on, the finish is spot on, I found ONE, count it, ONE dirt nib in the paint, which was otherwise flawless. The 763M set had way too many to count. KL11 wins by a mile on quality. |

One of the biggest reasons I went with the KL11 was for that hub. I had them custom spec'd for a smooth hub, no valley at all. I'll post some more pix soon, but the scallops are fantastic on the KL11 as well, and the beveled lip, like that of the 763 only larger. I wish pix could do the wheel justice. I guess I'll just have to keep trying. |
