Why do they always bring a Cayman GTS and not a Cayman/Cayman S to these comparos. In what universe are they finding a M2C and a Cayman GTS even remotely in the same area code price wise.

I don't know the others, but Tiff's an enthusiast. He has been around a long time and clearly keeps doing it because he loves driving cars.

His E39 M5 review in 1999 remains a classic. I still remember watching it that many years ago. I thought - I'm buying that car.

Ridiculous argument. Price is not the end all of what makes a comparison. Tons of people shop different cars to compare in different classes all the time.

Does a ZL1 1LE not deserve to be compared to an M4 GTS or 911 GT3 because it’s cheaper… please.

I agree, probably the 2.0t would be a good comparison especially against the Alpine. I think the M2 would win but having owned a 2.0t Boxster, I would own one again if I could. Just a lot of fun and somewhat more affordable so you’re not as worried about honing around. Plus you’re using more of its available power.

It all depends on where the buyer is financially. When I was hunting for a car, the M2c was right at the very limit of what I was willing to spend. In fact, it was just a tiny bit of a stretch. I looked at caymans, but even the Cayman T was out of my price range, to say nothing of the S and GTS.

But at the same time, I was considering just saving money and going with a Miata, a Mustang GT, or a genesis g70. So I was comparing cars with hugely different price points, but at the same time, even like 5k over budget wasn’t going to cut it for me. So I have sympathy for tests like this, they just aren’t speaking to me considering how much money I have to spend.

But also the title of the video is dumb and clickbaity.
