Definitely just hope they make it in time for June 10th ... I had to get the rears from discount tire as tire rack was on back order.

Bad news so the rear 275 35 have actually never gone into production yet so I need to come up with a set of something else for June 10th

Ok so with the good years and a proper alignment I shaved off almost 3 seconds at limerock with the oem 4s. Tires held up great . Very happy just wish they offered a 255 275 set up . I think that would be the winning set up for somone wanting to run stock wheels

Is there any other tire gripper than Cup2s in OEM size?
I run OEM size Trofeo R's

I'm using 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 Bridgestone RE71RS for my track wheels, so far no rubbing yet but the circuits I do don't have huge undulations or dips.

Sadly the re71RS are not available in North America, we just have the re71r which are a not ideal for track heat

Just an update.

255+275 Yokohama 052 are very good tires. They do not degrade as Cup2s do.

Highly recommended.

What's the time vs the Cup 2 on your track?

Pirelli Corsa Asimmetrico 2
285/30/19 rear
265/30/19 front

or Pirelli Trofeo R in OEM size.

Corsa is 3sec slower on a 2:00min lap.

Can’t tell you. As the weather is different, the condition of the racetrack is also different.

Seems like a great OEM+ upgrade.
Can you please elaborate?
How many laps?
Did they get greasy?
What temp?
What pressures did you run?

"Degrade" do you mean treadwear or grip level?
What was the treadwear like in comparison?

I second the Nankang AR-1
Amazing tire for the price, and faster than cup 2's.
Grip and stability is endless.

I didn’t count laps ))
Not less than cup2s for sure.
The optimal pressure is 2.0 hot.

Degrade - I mean grip level. 052s keep proper grip level and lap times respectively until the end of its life.
Cup2s have proper grip level for the first 10 laps and then it goes down gradually. I wouldn’t buy cup2s anymore.
052 - is the perfect tire for me.

The regulations changed. Size doesn't matter. The treadwear CANT be lower than 100.

Which are the best tires for time attack competition for M2C?

- OEM rims (9 and 10 respectively)
- price doesn’t matter
- lap time is the only criteria.

As of now I see the following options:

1) Yokohama 052: 255/35/19 + 275/35/19 (currently have those and I am happy in principle)

2) Cup2: 265/30/19 + 295/30/19

3) Nankang AR-1: 245/35/19 + 265/35/19

4) Goodyear F1 Supercar 3R: 245/35/19 + 265/35/19

For balls-out speed, The Supercar 3R (or the wider Cup2).
Probably depends on the course and if the width of the Cup2 can be exploited.

Absolute pure p0rnography. Favorite tire by far. They're such pussycats to drive on, and beautiful for photography as well. Unfortunately, no 265/35 is available in the USA.
