M2CS vs 718 Cayman GT4

Motortrend just did a comparison between the M2CS and 718 GT4. This was a review I and many others likely hoped someone would do.

https://www.motortrend.com/cars/bmw/...arison-review/

Final quote from Lieberman: "Look, I can make the argument the 718 Cayman GT4 is the third or fourth best-driving Porsche on sale. I can also say the M2 CS is the best-driving BMW ever made."

Interesting comparison, but that quote is a bit absurd. Adjusted: "Look, I can make the argument that the M5 is the third or fourth best-driving BMW on sale. I can also say that the Genesis G80 is the best-driving Hyundai ever made.

I can understand why someone would find the M2 CS more enjoyable, but let's not pretend that anything BMW makes comes close to those Porsches that are better than a 718 GT4 either.

I gave up reading anything from Motor Trend when they said this car was "Car of the Year"

https://www.motortrend.com/news/car-...ear-winners-2/

Or even this one:

https://www.motortrend.com/news/0101coy/

One of the 3 ugliest cars ever produced!

They changed their own rules for car of the year to have the Caprice win...

Who folded? Both are still around....

The best from a literary perspective is far and away car & driver. MotorTrend was very smart to move to a streaming platform like YouTube. There magazine was shit in the 90's and early 00's.

Holy shit, I had no idea! Just read about it.... a sad result of the internet age. I will miss those weekly readings on the dumper that so often occurred in my teen years
