Found 763M CS wheels at a discount - Good and bad buying experiences

I've been doing some price research on a set of 763m frozen gold rims. To my surprise frozen gold CS wheels are several hundred dollars cheaper compared to the M Performance ones.

Might be an option to safe a few hundred bucks if you don't care about the M Performance stamp.

I don't know about the Frozen gold, but at getbmwparts the matte MPerformance 763M wheels were quite a bit cheaper than the M2CS jet black version.

I didn't realize there was a difference between the 763Ms out of the catalog and the ones installed on the M2CS.

I bought the matte black ones from the parts counter. They were not cheap, but came with tires and all the sensors. Just had to install them.

Off topic thread jack. I like the 788s just fine, but the 763s are cool as hell. I didn't plan on getting them, but decided not to wait because maybe they're be hard to get in the future. I got lucky once with finding forged magnesium wheels for a Ducati 748 when they started to get hard to find. So, not sure how long BMW will keep them available. I didn't want to risk missing out. I wasn't going to run them all the time...but they just make the car look so good.

I like the 763s too. I'm also thinking about the Titan7 TS5. They look similar to the 763s but have a bit of a vorsteiner flare. I think the titanium color would look great with LBB and CF bits. They just released a M2 friendly rear offset of 44 at 10.5". I just can't decide.

I would assume that since they are OEM equipment for the CS that BMW has to offer them as parts for a while. Pure conjecture on my part, don't take it to the bank

You sir are correct. I was erroneously comparing 19" and 20" wheels for the back, oops. Matte black version is about $140 cheaper at the moment compared to Jet black.

Wish I would have bought these two years ago when Sun Motors was selling a set for $2,850. C'est la vie.

I paid 2600 euro for the black M perf wheels. My source ships around the world supposedly. He has a relative that works at BMW in DE and the wheels shipped direct from BMW. He also sells the gold but they are a bit more.

I had to wait a few weeks to receive them.

I don't think it will be particularly cheap to ship 4 wheels from Germany.

Yep, I'm interested in what he will charge for US shipping.

Side note, if I were in US I'd probably go with Richland Forged wheels.

Jet black is similar to a gloss/piano black while the matte black is closer to a satin black

The matte black version comes from the MPP catalog and is stamped M Performance on the outside of the rim

The jet black version comes from the M2 CS and is not stamped M Performance on the the outside

Too bad they don't offer the Richland Forged in better offsets.
