Well, after looking at the wheels mounted on the car, I really like the EC-7's in Anthracite.

I liked them enough that I just ordered a second set to use as track wheels (with the added bonus that a) they're $280 cheaper than the SM-10's and b) if I road-rash/pothole a wheel, I'll have spares). I liked the SM-10's as well and vacillated between them but I figured that those two points made the EC-7 a smarter move than the SM-10.

Sadly, the EC-7's are on backorder..... again.

I'll suffer through using my stock wheels for the track until they show up- First World problem I suppose.

I want to keep all of the offset numbers the same in case I have to swap a wheel due to curb rash or pothole dent.

Just thought I'd share some pics of our Apex's. It's a 2020 M2C with stock suspension and the M2C Apex setup. Apex EC-7 in Anthracite 19x9.5 et28 Front and 19x10.5 et45 Rear with 265/30 F and 295/30 R Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Needs to be lowered a bit which will come soon hopefully but otherwise it looks great IMO.

Thanks for your patience with this set and with the new order as well. Part of the reason I'm so excited about having SM-10s for the M2 is that hopefully we won't continually be back-ordered for M2C fitments across the board.

I'm glad after all that tire deliberation the taller tires aren't causing any rubbing issues. Did you get the TC Kline problems you mentioned figured out? The car looks amazing, great color combo!

This is terrific. The wheels anthracite? Hard to tell with the late day lighting.

My bad, I'll add it to the post. But yeah, the anthracite. We were going to do black but they were out of stock. I'm glad we didn't, I really like the anthracite.

At this point I can't *100%* guarantee no rubbing-- but everything looked clear on the lift at the shop and they didn't hear anything rubbing-wise on the test drive.

My wife drove the car home and then we took her Miata to dinner, so I can't say for sure as I haven't had the chance to go wind it up. Wife *did* mention that the slightly taller/wider MP4S's were noticeably more compliant, which surprised me as she doesn't have a lot of time in the car.

As far as the TCK-- we gave up. I suspect that stiffer springs would have solved the issues, but I didn't want to give up that much ride compliance as that's sort of a "track focused" setup.

I'll be replacing the TCK setup with the MP-S coilovers and Millway Street camber plates later in the month. I suspect the drop will be very similar.

Love the look of the wheels though-- once I get back home for more than a day, I'll have to take the car up in the mountains for a proper photo shoot. But unless something jumps up and bites me with the MP-S suspension (and I'm hoping that the camber plates will give me a little more room, thus negating any wheel spacers), I'm going to say that I'm REALLY happy I didn't go with rubber bands..... er..... -30 series rubber. Denver's roads are horrible, and I'd be begging for a bent wheel. This is looking like a great combination.

Respectfully, your wife is stunning and the pic with the wheels on the HS color look amazing.

I have the same wheels. I need to put mine all in this exact tire setup. Appreciate you sharing. I will have MP coils and Vorschlag plates on it for additional camber to boot most probably. If it ever became more track worthy I may go TTX.

Here's another good day shot showing the contrast between the silver wheel color and silver car color. Crappy pic but it shows the difference well.

Thinking about maybe ordering a set of EC7s, says expected early August. How sure are we that they will come early August?

My wheels were delayed a little from the original timeframe but not a crazy amount, a couple of weeks longer. Far quicker the Millway camber plates !

thats good to know. I just don't want to get the wheels which will be summers for me and then 2 weeks later have to put the winters on lol

Edit - ordered some EC7s last week. Went with silver since anthracite was going to be an extra month of waiting and I am impatient lol, hopefully made the right choice but on a black car I think the silvers will sing.

Apex, great customer service so far. Emailed with them back and forward and prompt responses, very helpful!

The EC-7s have been a fantastic option for our M2 customer's but we've been enjoying seeing 19" SM-10s on these cars as well!
