In a continuation of my earlier reports, USPS found the package in their building and it is now with GATES.

So, hopefully I will have feedback for everyone in the coming weeks on the digital key!

Hey guys, Gates has sent my key back, I will post pictures and a review once it gets to me.

Keep in mind, this is a beta so there may be some issues they need to resolve still - but excited to get it back in hand.

SWEET! Cant wait to see it, as I love their work on the normal key fob mod.. so much better than the oem design.

Out of curiosity, what’s on the screen for the LCD key? I assume its various statuses and unlock features, but anything else noteworthy?

It seems the UPS location Gates uses might be bad. I’m having shipping issues as well. Gates is telling me my order was dropped off on Monday and it’s now Thursday and the tracking information still hasn’t been updated to show it was even received from Gates.

definitely let them know, so they can update you and also address if it's a big problem

I've had my Gate Innovation modded key for a while now. I love it compared to the original key.

I just got mine back today, i opted for the all black edition. First impression...its amazing. Really really well done. Better than OEM, does not look aftermarket at all and I couldnt be happier. Will send in the second key for the upgrade as well except this time i'll probably just do the normal silver edition.

What's the red speaker symbol button? I only have 3 buttons in the UK on an even smaller fob.

Isn't it easier to press the big round thing in the middle of the steering wheel?

I've never seen a keyfob without a panic button. Imagine your wife/daughter being followed in a parking garage. It's a safety thing.

Just want to ask those who have done this with Gates; I've sent my key off to them earlier this week. I've filled out their first email questionnaire that comes after the order. And after sending my fob, I emailed Gates Innovation just to follow-up if they've received my key but haven't had a single response back.

Is this normal? Do we just go dark on communication and just expect the key back one day?

Turn time for me was per their guidance.

When I emailed them as requested with my shipping information they responded in a timely manner.

My only gripe is that the BMW roundel they attach to the key during assembly wasn’t perfectly centered. Nearly impossible to notice unless you’re broken with OCD like me and this appears to be the exception.

I've emailed them and reached out on Instagram, about where to send the key as I never received an email with those instructions. They have yet to reach out to me, but they have my money. Where did you send the key?

Saw a video on youtube that GI has a minimalist key...god I wish the CS had comfort access, because I would love to rock the buttonless key!!!!
