6MT transmission

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows why there are 2 manual transmission part numbers for the m2?

I'm also curious if anyone would know the part number for my 2018 N55 6MT transmission.

Thanks

Yes that's what first tipped me off to it.
Here's screen shots of the real OEM numbers and then those part numbers from bmw parts pros.

I don't understand the difference

I'd call BMW and ask. The S vs T may be a technical update but potentially form/fit/function is the same

Hmm I wonder if that's it. Maybe I'll call bmw and see what they say.

I'm surprised no one on here has a more definitive answer.

Probably not too many people replacing transmissions themselves. Let us know how the call goes.

Will do! I'm just curious to find the answer because they don't sell parts to rebuild the trans. So I was curious what a new one cost
