They cover the two big frelling holes that are in the sheet metal behind the rear seat side panel trim (think where the rear seat armrests are).

Basically, put them in, less road noise.

ASD: Already off w/ coding, but I like the cable idea better-- and I already have it so I might as well use it.

Dashcam: Not sure why I'd want/need one?

Hidden detector: That's a clean install but a) I don't want to lose a vent as it gets hot in Colorado and the M2C's AC isn't the greatest and b) I'd want to have the detector in line-of-sight.

Thor M Flasher: Not sure what this would do for me on a MT? Please elaborate?

CSL Style trunk: No. Just.... no.

Heat Exchanger: No interest-- happy with what I have at the moment. I do NOT need more power!

Mushimoto drain plug: I'll pull the catch can one of these days and see if I really need one. I've got it on the "Research" section of my list.

Ordered Dec 2019, picked it up April 2020 (in Denver), drove it out to Carbahn, up along the west coast to WA, then back home in June 2020.

Had a little time so did some quick research on wheels and tires.

Aaaaaand? Then my head exploded.

SO many variables-- and they're all so interrelated, I don't even know where to start.

One thing I think I've decided is that anything I do will have to work with the M Performance coilover's-- I'm almost convinced that they'll be a better ride on the roads here in Denver (and hopefully, they'll get rid of the occasional "jittery" feeling the car has on making quick transitions.)

The car's a "date night/weekend" toy and will only see the very occasional HPDE-- I don't think I want to go down the camber plate rabbit hole, super adjustability, rolling fenders (been there, done that before), etc.

Here's what I've come up with (in no particular order):

- Stick with the stock wheels, but go +1 (255/35/19 & 275/35/19) with Michelin PS4S's (maybe with 5-10mm spacers depending on whether I drop or not?)

- Apex EC-7 w/ 265/30/19 & 295/30/19 tires (I'm concerned about the ride on the 30 series tires-- The M2C rides harsh enough for me as it is). Not sure if I'd need camber plates, but from talking to Apex, I'd need 5mm spacers in the front if I dropped it with the MP suspension. Additionally, I haven't seen the wheels in person, so I'm not sure I'd like the deep dish of the spokes.

- BMW Orbit Grey 763M wheels w/ +1 rubber (255/275). Honestly? They're cost prohibitive for what they are, but are by far my favorite.

- Richland Forged RF-GT4 w/ either 255/35 & 275/35 or 265/30 & 295/30 rubber. The rear offset's a bit wonky for the M2C and results in a fair bit of "poke"-- I don't think I want to bother with milling the back face of the wheel (been to that party before and not worth the effort and expense). Not quite sure which rubber would work best as well.

My biggest concerns are a) that it works with a future MP suspension and b) that I get a bit more traction on the rear. With the Carbahn tune, the stability control goes bonkers through fourth gear when I go to WOT.

Sigh. I guess if it was easy, anyone would do it.

Any suggestions?

Show me another car that's an utter hoot to drive, handles outstandingly well, and brings out your inner hooligan Every Single Time you drive it doing errands-- that has a MT, and is still priced less than I was willing to spend.

Mustang? Camaro? Corvette? Meh.

Porsche? Never really a fan. (Although my wife *does* have a thing for 911's).

Other BMW's? The M4 was a contender, but I thought it was huuuuge in comparison, it wouldn't have fit in my garage (storage shelves/cabinets, several *huge* tool boxes, air compressor, workbench, R1200GS, Miata, two road bikes, two mountain bikes and the M2C), and honestly didn't have the "fun" factor of the M2C when I test drove it.

Jag? Mercedes? Honda? Toyota? No MT.

Other exotics? Not my cuppa.

Tesla? It's an "iPad with wheels", and I personally find it about as exciting to drive as a shopping cart.

It's not like I bought the car and dropped a brand-new Stage-II motor in it (..... yet )-- most of it was done over the course of the year, personalizing the car to *my* tastes and desires for power, comfort and styling (and following a lot of what I did to my previous e46 M3). The overwhelming majority of things I've done wouldn't even be noticeable unless you were very, very familiar with the f87 M2C.

Besides-- I make a reasonable living, have a wife that works full-time, have very little debt, and no kids. I can afford a bit of "jewelry" for my toy once in a while-- and this particular one was a "Congratulations" to myself for a life event (with the full support and encouragement of my wife).

There was *literally* no other car since my e46 M3 that got me excited just by test driving it-- and the last car I bought was in 2005.

Your opinion may differ, but that's how I look at it.

They would all look good but w that mod list I think you have to go with 763s. Have you considered the gold? SO w frozen gold 763s looks pretty sweet, but I understand the orbit grey. I enjoy the under the radar look myself and gold would add some serious bling + attention. I'd say the Richland forged if you don't want to pay the M tax bc they are very close in style.

Either way, you've got one serious machine going there. Post pics of what you end up with.

*DEFINITELY* not gold. Not a fan of the color (in fact, I literally changed every hinge, doorknob and light switch in my house when I moved in because they were gold and I couldn't stand it).

I love, love, love the 763's, but paying over $4k for a set of wheels in the stock dimensions is just ludicrous. My wife would kill me, and other than looks and a little weight, it doesn't get me anything that I don't have from the stock wheels (and still sticks me with the 255/275 restriction of the poem wheels). The Richland Forged are nice (but I think the rear offsets are a little strange? I need to research that), but they're still almost $3k. The Apex's are about $1500 out the door, but I don't know what their quality is like and I'm not sold on the look yet.

Honestly, as much as I'd like to shove a 285 or 295 under the rear (the Apex's will supposedly work with a 265/30 & 295/30 combo), I'm leaning towards just putting a set of 255/275 PS4S's on the stock wheels. Reasonably cost effective and they'll work perfectly with the MP suspension w/ no camber plates or spacers needed- and the stock wheels are growing on me.

(Although I WILL investigate the Apex EC-7 package when I get some free time. Flying pretty much almost every day for the rest of the year, two days off dedicated to "Romantic Wife Time", then flying a bunch of days again followed by 737 Max training--ugh).

The difference in weight and design is next level, also as regards driving. It's about physics (improved unsprung weight) and appeal (aesthetics).

Made by SAI (wheel manufacturer for several premium car manufacturers) for BMW for this car. It's not without reason that BMW fits those on the M4 CS, M3 CS and M2 CS and included those in the M Performance line a couple of years ago.

And as you fancy those, you will have zero regrets. The real thing.

The 4K/5K price-point is with Cup2 tires included and without dealer discount (so far each Spring BMW offered a 20% to 25% discount over here). Maybe they can also cut you a deal without tires. Apex EC-7s are a great looking wheel in my opinion. To that extent I bought them before I even took delivery of my M2C. Lots of discussion on forums on tire sizes. I agree with you on the 30 series aspect ratio being a bit harsh for DD. However reading each tire spec makes a big difference on what you might pick. Even same size tires have different measurements in aspect ratio, diameter on the wheel, and track width. My suggestion would be to evaluate whether you really want wheels or happy with 788s. Once that's been decided then go with the tires you want with the best fit.

I personally like stock wheels on my car but want slightly larger width wheel to go +1 and still maintain the stock stretched look with most tires. Generally, cross section width increases even with same size tire as you go up in wider wheel size once mounted and load is placed on it after proper inflation.

So 255/275 with 35 series aspect ratio might be what I land up with in the end to avoid any fender liner issues as I will also be using MP coils in the near future and have similar ride quality to stock without additional risks of pinched flats on 30 series tires.

I'm driving the car through winter in stock form so I can sit with my decisions and truly experience the car in stock from before camber, wheels, tires, suspension, modifications.

I really like the look of the 763M's, but a) they're pricey for what they are and b) I *think* that in 19's, they only come in matte black and gold? Neither of which appeal to me in the slightest-- especially with a SOM M2C. If they came in a titanium or even a silver, I'd be very, very tempted.
