The BMW MSRP recently changed (as of a week or two ago), and some websites did not even propagate the change yet. OP probably got caught off-guard.

You got it. Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt. I have no reason to scam people on the forums. On EBay these are still going for $600-700 with damage and missing segments. I see good condition ones around 1000 there still. Regardless, price dropped.

Bought a used one for $600. Seems like good pricing. Previously was like $1,500 a year ago.

Hmm, I might be interested (and am actually local) but not sure if this is a pure drop in for the OG M2 or is there some major work that has to be done to make this work for the OG M2 (frame cutting, additional mounting, etc.).

http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1363860

This thread by a member details how to do it. He just needed a few other parts from BMW and it bolted right on. Only a little bit of trim needed to be cut, no welding or touching the frame. Someone also said there that it added frontend stiffness, steering responsiveness and road feel. Feel free to dm me if you have any questions too.

Just did this retrofit last month before the BMW CCA event at COTA. Steering is definitely improved on the road and track.

I bet shipping isn't as bad as you'd expect since it weighs nothing.
