I have this vision of the interaction yesterday...he walks up to the car, which is all put back together and is perfectly clean, gleaming in the sunlight. He runs his hand lovingly over the hood and gets down to the new bumper...which falls off the car at the lightest touch...he promptly faints on the spot.
Just kidding man - hope it was all good and you're enjoying it again.

I am guessing that he didn't get the car back? I would have thought we would have lots of pictures or whatnot....

I wouldn't want the M2 to go flying out the back of the garage.

This is Ground Control to Major Adem1534 | You've really made the grade | And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear | Now it's time to leave the capsule | If you dare.

Last week Officer Friendly did that to my M2 during our meeting, albeit without Ferris' enthusiasm. He took issue with my "failure to yield" or something. He gave me a warning so I didn't chew his ass for it but I was like WTF!?

Cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me working claims. And it most Always happens when people freaking micromanage the crap out of their repairs. Pick a good body shop and trust them and Let the shop do their work. Let them finish the job before you complain.. And give the claim adjusters a break too Glad that he came correct and acknowledged that the shop did end up with an excellent end product despite some true hiccups on the way. Someone should update their Yelp page .. |

It's funny, I went to the grocery store and I was in my car, waiting for a spot to open up, when the chick in her Chevy Suburban starts backing up and nearly hits my car within an hour of me having it. By the way, no, I'm keeping the bumper. I had seen it before final polishing was done and it was still dirty. Let me tell you, the bumper paint is practically better than it was before. And I already told the guys at the shop that they're all getting 10/10s on everything because regardless of the process, the end result is an A+.

OP,
Consider this: the "Grim Reaper of dings, nicks and scratches" visits each and every new vehicle; although he usually dishes out his spiteful damage over several years of the car's life, he came early for yours. The silver lining here is that you have now paid a significant portion of your debt to him up front and he won't need to bother you in future. So, take comfort :-)
