Question PPF - Greater Philadelphia Area

Need some advice here as I've spent most of today searching the forum and google and I'm no closer to a decision than when I started. I'm outside Philly and my only experiences with vendors before my m2c are Shades of Gray Tint and AWE Tuning. Both I love and found through research, review reading, and visiting in person. I'm not having as much luck with a consistently reviewed PPF installer. I love SoG but I'm leaning Xpel which takes them out of the running for now. As best I can tell, the best options around me are SevenWraps and Oakes Detail. I'm originally from NJ so I don't mind putting some miles on the car. It appears there are some better reviewed options for Xpel installation in NJ over PA.

Anyone have any suggestions before I start exploring out of state? As I'll be dropping off the car for a few days, I'd like to avoid NJ but will if I have to.

Heard of bad experiences at Oakes Detail. Plus their best guy recently left. I would pass on them. Just my 2 cents.

Appreciated. That's what my gut was telling me based on their website, some reviews I read, and the lack of no one I know using them. SevenWrap was at least referred to me through a friend whose neighbor swears by them. As I don't know the neighbor, that's only worth half a recommendation until I hear more.

I live in Montgomery County and went to Leeberbs in Hillsborough, NJ. It's a little bit of a drive (around an hour) but completely worth it. Lee does amazing work and I had a fantastic experience with him.

Thanks. Also in MontCo and he was definitely on my short list. My parents are still in Hunterdon County so I may need to go that route. I haven't heard a bad review of him.

Same here. I had a couple of friends go to him too and they all had great experiences. Also, he is genuinely a nice guy. I had a small tear in the ppf on the driver side of the front bumper ("fang" area) and he replaced it for me.

If you can make the drive to allentown area, go to Ben harmony, his instagram is @motorcarprotection. He did my tint and PPF and it is great work.

That's a new one for me. Thanks for adding to the list. I love first hand testimonials.

Thanks to all that chimed in. I've decided to go with leeberbs. This should be happening end of September and I'll certainly post some pictures when it's all done.

I've used Oakes for a number a cars including one last month...continues to do a great job. Front office person left in the summer, but that was kind of a blessing.

Dunno about the past, but the owner is doing all the film now and the completed cars i saw at the shop all looked great. I'd recommend a look.

None of our film installers have left, the both of us are still here. We wished, and continue to wish, our previous employees the best of luck with everything!

With that said, we are more than happy to help you with anything you need Kleinacus should you still need a viable option that stands behind their work. We have completed 6 M2's in the last 3 months - several more since it's release - and have several more inbound, including the CS. In any case, I hope you are satisfied with whomever works on your M2!
