I picked up my LBB DCT M2 on 4/11/16 and knew I needed a wider more aggressive wheel and tire setup based on my past experience with a heavily modified 135i which had traction issues. Eventually, I’d like to add significant power to the M2 and I wanted to maximize my straight line traction to cope with my planned upgrades. Soon after getting the car, I started reading about M3/M4 fitments to learn about what might be possible with the M2.

While I was researching everything I could find on BMW M (M2, M3, M4) wheel fitment, I started modifying many of the small exterior and interior cosmetics to my liking. After talking with numerous BMW wheel distributors and manufacturers, I came to the conclusion that I needed to get a custom set of wheels to get the proper look and desired fitment. Many of the options I came across didn’t offer the offsets required to maximize tire sizes. My goal was to go 19x9.5 up front and 19x10.5 out back with the widest possible tires.

That’s when I found Signature Wheel, after researching their designs I fell in love with the open design and concavity of the SV101s. Soon after contacting Signature Wheel, the fitment measurements began. I measured the front and rear brake calipers to help maximize concavity and measured the stock wheel fitment to determine the optimal offsets. After some deliberation we settled on 19x9.5et30 and 19x10.5et45 after rounding to the nearest 5mm of offset. My most difficult decision was between the 16 different wheel finishes that Signature Wheel offers. I always thought matte gunmetal would look perfect with LBB so I went with my gut and then waited for the wheels to arrive (≈5 weeks).

In the meantime, I determined which type and size of tires I wanted. Initially, I was hoping to go 275 up front, but am glad I didn’t as 265 is as big as you can comfortably go without other modifications. I ended up choosing 265/30R19 and 295/30R19 Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 R. I plan to lower the car slightly, as there is still about a 1” gap in the front and back. I am very happy with this setup’s fitment; I have not experienced any rubbing over serious bumps or full wheel lock. I took a risk by mainly growing the extra wheel width to the inside as the stock wheel fitment is already pretty aggressive towards the outside. I am very happy that I did because neither the front nor the back pokes out past the fender. Enjoy.

And since the company won't reply... Did you pay more than BC Forged charge for their wheels as this is just a center cap added to a BC Forged wheel?

OK, we have a company that refuses to answer questions about their wheels. Then a "customer" appears with a scripted post and also refuses to answer question and to top it off the company replies to the "customer" in similar words as the scripted post.

I would stay away folks and just get BC Forged wheels as that is what it is from the start anyway.

Thanks boohorlicks. No I wish it was the MPE. These are the Active Autowerke brushed stainless steel tips. I did cut the stock exhaust back though so that the tips would sit more flush.

I was thinking of getting a winter tire setup for my M2 which is currently on order. I have a set of OEM 18 rims from my e46 M3 and I wanted to know if I could use these rims for winter tires on my M2? Does anyone on this forum know if this setup will work?

If you know the wheel widths and offsets it would be pretty easy to determine where they would sit but my concern with 18s would be brake caliper clearance.

That was my main concern as well. If I know for sure now, I would like to ideally buy a set of tires on close out and get my rims powder coated.

It's not like the offsets are secret when you buy them. I got the offsets by just asking before ordering, they just don't want them public on the forums. They are even printed on the wheels...
