Lowering Spring installation

What have you paid for lowering spring installation? I was just quoted $500 for the install. This doesn't include an alignment.

A little high but not horrible. The install is fairly straghtforward so really no more than 3 hours tops. Post in your local subforum to get a recommended installer.

$500 isnt bad. If you have access to a lift or a DIY shop, its good experience to do it yourself though. Its fairly simple and doesn't require too many special tools. Just a Strut nut socket, and maybe spring compressor to get the OEM springs off the front. You can technically decompress the fronts by removing the strut nut while the car is still on the ground. Lowering springs will go back on without needing compression.

Tip if you're doing it yourself, on the rears, remove the bolt in the lower control arm closest to the spring/strut, not the one connected to the wheel hub. You wont jack up your camber and its not a single use bolt like the other side.
