MCS 1WNR 2 WNR Coilovers for your F87 M2

The MCS 1WNR damper is a Single-adjustable damper. Well-mannered on the street and capable of making higher-rate springs feel smooth – crank up the damping levels and have the capability to go win races. 1WNR dampers have tremendous capability in a clean, easy to install and use package.

These dampers are packed with technical features but with an elegantly clean execution. The monotube design is very stable with more oil capacity and better heat dissipation than twin tube dampers. Large strut shafts give extremely high, low-friction side-load support unmatched by shocks inverted and converted for strut applications. The large main piston gives quick, accurate damper response and the divider piston separates oil and gas, eliminating cavitation which often causes noise and sloppiness.

All MCS 1WNR dampers have an adjustment range of 18 settings of rebound control and come standard with spring hardware. Springs and camber plates not included and can be ordered separately.

Built as an ‘entry-level’ (yet still race-capable and winning) damper, 1WNR dampers are upgradable to a reservoir type damper as your needs change. The modular design of MCS damper systems use interchangeable parts for an easy change into a 2-Way adjustable reservoir damper system, without the need to invest in a new package. All the MCS dampers are fully rebuildable, serviceable and can be custom-valved and upgraded any time.

The MCS 2WNR damper is a Double-adjustable damper with a unique adjustment mechanism for easy access and fast changes. Well-mannered on the street and capable of making higher-rate springs feel smooth – crank up the damping levels and have the capability to go win races. 2WNR dampers have tremendous capability in a clean, easy to install and use package.

Both rebound (18 clicks) and compression (14 clicks) are controlled by a blow-off valve directly on the main piston for the most precise and accurate damping control – not a needle valve with a smaller effective adjustment range before the needle is too far out of the orifice to influence flow. And the best part – both settings are adjustable on one very clever knob, within easy reach under your hood or in your trunk. No more dragging a jack to pit lane, laying on the ground in your nice clothes or driving suit, or brake rotor brands on the arm!

The MCS 2-Way damper is far from basic. This damper set features a full 14 clicks of compression adjustment and 18 clicks of rebound adjustment over a wide range, specific to each vehicle’s specific requirements. Remote reservoirs give superior fluid temperature control and are available (or standard depending on application) with quick-release hydraulic lines for easy installation.

This damper set is beyond the more common coil-over systems on the market. MCS 2-Ways are dependable, repeatable, and easy to work with. Valving covers a wide range of spring rates and eliminates the need to constantly revalve every time you want to increase or decrease your spring rate. Reservoir pressure can be adjusted between 100 – 275 PSI to help support the platform in fast cornering or generate more weight transfer / traction at low velocity.

Dampers are more than just number of adjustments and just click count – the shape of the resulting curves is specifically engineered to give your car the most grip through the range of surface conditions and dynamic inputs your vehicle experiences. 2-Way dampers are available for many popular sports cars.

The MCS 2-Way Custom dampers incorporate the same design features and precision construction of the 2-Way, but are specifically made for low production volume fitments or specifically designed and produced to fit customer project cars. These applications include vehicles with unique performance needs, such as alternate damping characteristics required for a specific set of race series regulations or to be used on rare supercars or historic restoration projects.

The MCS 3-Way damper is the ultimate damper for professional racers or anyone that demands ultimate performance. The 3-Way remote reservoir canister has been designed to give the engineer, suspension tuner, or driver more control over the vehicle platform by adding adjustment to the low-speed compression damping performance.

This damper set features a full 14 clicks of high-speed compression, 5 clicks low-speed compression, and 18 clicks of rebound adjustment. The low-speed bump adjuster is located on top of the high-speed adjuster and can be adjusted independently. The reservoir pressure can be adjusted between 100 – 275 PSI to help support the platform in fast cornering or generate more weight transfer / traction at low velocity.

The low-speed compression adjuster is very helpful to better control both body roll at turn-in, as well as pitch and squat movements. Reducing low-speed compression damping can help to quickly increase traction on bumpy tracks. Precise control of the chassis platform is a tremendous tuning advantage.

F2x F3x F8x will require clavis mounts for the rear eye to eye dampers.

Not exactly the same, but similar. We order by application. It's not an universal fit for the new F chassis if that is what you are asking.

We can set one up for your F20.

Beautiful coilovers, when I eventually upgrade this is the only suspension I will consider.

Do these sets coil over the rear? What spring rates/free length F/R?

Also - Is a strut bar/cage needed to eliminate the potential for sub frame/chassis damage?

No, not according to MCS. We will be shipping a second set of coilover rears to another customer overseas in a week or two. Will take the rear coilover setup for you.

Spring rate is customer and usage specific so we will need to know what you will be doing with the car. Front is usually 7" with or without a helper in the range of 400-700 lbs. Rear coilover is 7" with a helper in the range of 300-400 lbs.
