I would prefer the 2 platform over the Porsche any day, especially as a dd. The Porsche is too midlife crisis, not a fan.

Oh mid life crisis ?

It just takes more money.

The Cayman S is a better car.

If you are a car guy, you are a car guy!!! Plain and simple, there is no mid-life crisis about it. If you have only ever owned a mid size (fill in the blank) and then you by a Porsche, then it is a mid-life crisis car.

I am just inherently not much of a Porsche fan. When it comes to sportscars, I am more of a Ferrari lover. Obviously a different price point but Porsches just never catch my eye really. In the lower dd category, BMW gets it right. I know the performance is there. Not denying that, just don't care for their designs. In the exact right trim, they can be ok, but nothing I would spend my money on.

This car is so ugly to me, I could never drive it.

The picture you posted is an old 911. Look at the new one I bet you'd like it vs that old model with the aged headlights and what not.

I will give you the lights - they are terrible.

The mid-life crisis bit is rubbish along with the other car owner stereotypes that deviate outside of the norm:

1. The Delinquent: If I have a phat ride such as a 911 I'll get the chick. I don't mind living in my parents basement.

2.Mid-life Crisis: I can't find satisfaction in life or career so the 911 will enable me to relive my lost youth living in my parents basement.

3. The Old Man's Phallic replacement: Got to move my stuff from my parents basement to Florida, wonder how much I can fit in the 911?

*Rarely do I hear anyone say stereotype #4: He must be a risk taking car enthusiast with a satisfyingly hot girlfriend who snorts Viagra with a redbull back.
