Carbon ceramic discs for F87 M2 Competition
The F87 M2C is well-regarded for its performance and handling. For those seeking more from the driving experience, upgrading components is key. After gracing the ride with a full suite of OEM M Performance carbon fiber parts, a suspension system, 763M forged wheels, and high-performance Akrapovič and Eventuri intake and exhaust systems, the owner went for an INSPEED carbon ceramic disc kit.
The upgrade to 763M forged wheels already reduced weight, and switching to these discs significantly lowers unsprung weight. This refers to the mass supported by the suspension, which directly impacts handling responsiveness. Lighter unsprung weight results in quicker reactions to road conditions, during acceleration, braking, and cornering. I know some may not agree with these, but I'm just trying to explain the data we get from manufacturers in layman's terms, so don't shoot the messenger. The original 400mm front discs weighed approximately 13.54 kg, and the 370mm rears were about 9.34 kg. In contrast, the INSPEED carbon-ceramic discs weigh around 8.17 kg and 6.14 kg respectively, a total weight reduction of about 37.5%. If you're on a journey for weight reduction for whatever reasons, these might come in handy to know. Beyond weight savings, the upgrade offers better durability, higher heat resistance, and outstanding performance, often lasting over 300,000 km under normal driving conditions. You know what's faster than an M2C though? This link to my iCARMIX website: https://icarmix.com/?s=f87+m2+compet...t_type=product |

If you are considering running CCB rotors, the CCB rotors listed below are a better option and come with a set of brake pads. I believe they offer CCB rotors in sizes that fit the standard blue brakes. The biggest advantage is the CTECARBON rotors use continuous woven layers to make their rotors vs. the oem rotors use discontinuous/chopped fibers in their construction which has lower structural integrity. They also offer their conventional CCB rotors which are more expensive but cheaper compared to oem CCB rotors.

Hi there, nice of you to ask about them. Not only we have data sheet, we also have videos from the track test and the manufacturing process, as well as statements from the customers who sport these babies for a few months now. That's a recipe for a good partnership to me. P.S. I'll try to upload the videos here, and in case anyone can't see them, I can also send them in private or on Whtsapp. |
