Definitely, the fact that your ETA hasn't changed is alarming!

I will cancel it if it doesn't arrive at the dealer next week.

I spoke to my SA last night and he said there is currently a big backlog of cars at port due to transportation issues which is why there is a delay. Not quite sure how true that is and he wasn't willing to truck it from halifax either :|

I believe this is true because there are still many M5s that arrived in Halifax same date as mine (May 18) still not showing on LHF. The ones that shown as delivered were mostly trucked from Halifax.

If your SA is not willing to truck the car I would try BMW Canada. If that doesn't work then you should consider if you want to wait for 2019 model. (But don't go to the same dealership .)

I think it might be specific to the M5s because there are some cars which are still being shipped in a reasonable time frame from what I have seen on this thread.

not to hijack this thread.....but can you "legally" walk away from the car? or would you forfeit your deposit......i mean i hope it doesn't come to this.

but its good knowing what is worst case scenario.

It should be on your purchase agreement. (Probably in the fine prints) Mine says 90 days from the agreement that the buyer can terminate. I waited for 4 months.

I know man so frustrating! On the bmw website it says it takes 45 mins for them to install MPE and I can't imagine the PDI taking more than a day...

I went to the dealer again today and was told the same as yours. They said they cannot do anything and cannot truck the car either.

Does anything happen at VPC over the weekend? If not, that's 2 more days gone...

VPC does not move anything on Sunday if I am correct.
Saturday, they only work for half not in full.

i just read BMW just issued a stop-sale order for the M5 due to latest recall....that might be why the cars are sitting......

Using below website will give you exactly if your VIN has any recall;

https://www.bmw.ca/en/ssl/VehicleRec...ljbGVSZWNhbGwv

They update the recall status very frequently so I would say the result that you get is quite accurate.
