For anyone who was a bit doubtful, I can confirm that deejM indeed got a stellar price on his m2c!

I was a bit skeptical too. Don't know how he did it. But it's what the contract says.

Can they actually do a contract for an M2C yet? When I purchased mine the SKU's where not in the system yet, my contract just had a note with the Production number and that it was for an M2C. Likewise, the black 29U wheels are listed as aftermarket accessories rather than an actual option.

In saying that my updated contract from this weekend (with the new pricing on it) has the correct model code (2U72) on it.

For some reason I always thought we got EU spec cars. Oh well, I stand corrected

Oh, I could quite possibly be wrong.

Edit: After a bit more research it looks like you are right I think we are getting the EU model with the OPF

Doesn't seem to be a problem for all the pro reviewers though? Seems plenty quick. Or do you mean it prevents changing the exhaust to a hoon unit?

See the screenshot from the config guide I posted a few pages back, it has the official pricing in it.

Agreed, I think the car will still be a beast with the OPF. But a downpipe and exhaust are in my medium-term plans and it seems OPF could make this more problematic. I wanted to let the car run for 6-12 months before tunning it to make sure it has no warranty issues from the factory.

I would much prefer them not having it because it will just become an extra point of failure further down the track.

If they are smart they shouldn't have op for the version with OPF.

Some very good information below on particulate filter. Yes, it's about issues of PF on diesel engine but gasoline engine PF runs on similar principle.

Very problematic indeed. To the point where you most likely won't be able to modify anything because it will gradually stuff up the OPF or the ECU won't run properly at all. Not to mention the factory one cost a fortune to replace should they point the finger at you.

From my understanding the only way to increase performance (without stuffing the car up) would be to get rid of it completely and get a re-tune. But then you would run into warranty issues. Unfortunately a double-edged sword with this approach.

Jeez. Let's hope we don't get it then!

I think it'll depend on where the sensors are located for the OPF. From what i've been reading, a full cat-back system is still possible as long as the sensor stops at the downpipe. if you want to change DP, that's a different story.

Worst case scenario someone will find a work around or...aftermarket exhaust that comes with an OPF

MR mentioned the OPF has sensors before and after it, just like the downpipe

I just read that forum post and came across this:
https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...2&postcount=88

Unless i'm misinterpreting it wrong ..

Either way we will find out soon enough and hopefully have a solution, this is assuming that we 100% are receiving the EU spec with OPF?
